I have a direct comparison between the sun and my current LED setup unfortunately its not for a mj plant.
The discussion I would like to start is based on the results of my clone of a bougainvillea plant. The LED setup is made up household bulbs, brands CREE and KOBI, mostly warm white with a few neutral white. I have limited knowledge on LEDs and have only been using them for a couple months.
From what I gather household bulbs are missing the ends of the spectrum plants get from the sun, UV and FR, FR being the more important one as far as flowering is concerned. I wish to fine tune my spectrum for better results so I've ordered a 10w 660nm led which will give my spectrum a ratio of 10-5-1 for WW, NW, FR.
I'm wondering:
Should this provide the boost my spectrum needs to produce results closer to the sun
Could it be simply a nutrient problem (I believe the leaves show MAG deficiency)
Could it be light intensity (the flowers are actually bigger with LEDs)
Thanks in advance!
First pic is the visual color difference in the flowers which isn't as apparent in the pics.
