Precisely they are more efficient at converting energy to photons rather than HID that push out more fugitive heat. So more watts are converted to photons than heat. Of course this can create the age old problem of the VPD issue(room temp not hot enough so leaf temp low = less transpiration).
So if your tent does stay warm, let it stay warm so that the leaf temps are the same as HID.
As another person posted her, get your humidifier and fan on a timer to operate when you encounter the most humidity. Should def help.
