Hi there... after some interesting situation I have a red LED traffic light left in my house. Can someone tell me is it good for growing indoors? Is it too much? Some suggestions please?
I have read that LED lights are very good for growing, and that in the red spectrum there is much photosynthesis....

To somewhat answer your question visible red light doesn't mean the light is in the red spectrum. As far as the light being useable I doubt it. LED lights on the market that are meant for growing are designed for growing. I'm no expert on LEDs, but it seems like what you're doing is the same as using an incandescent lamp instead of a CFL. It works, but not at well. If you can look up what the spectrum in your LED are.

Would make a great Trailer Park Boys episode. Stealing all the stop lights and trying to grow bud with them.

The early UFOs were essentially just LED stop lights. They didn't work very well though - diodes were too small. If you use it keep it super super super close to the plant.

It's not made on the usual LED way with many diodes.... it's one lamp! I don't understand

Yeah... that's not going to work too well. 680 LEDs at a total 25w means each LED is .036w. You really need at least .7w/led to grow plants.

Nice i put a clone under the red light in my traffic light, and it survived. Not great growth though. It was a 10.5w redlight, and i finally decided that i liked the light better hanging in my living room.
