Hello everyone , i have purchased New 2012 135W Lighthouse Hydro BlackStar LED Grow light 3W Flowering LED's and i am in day 36 of my very first grow. As i said it is the first time i grow so i don't know if it is goiong well from the perseption of fast growth. What do you say about this grow light, do you have any suggestions about distances or other? thnx

6-12". Don't get greedy that small of a light is probably only going to do one plant

Hey lopsi, a BS-135W (~58-65 watts real draw I believe), cannot flower 2 plants by itself because it's diodes aren't that efficient and it will not put out enough light, unless you're flowering 2 plants in 2 liter containers and they are less than 12" in height. Get some CFL/T5s to help with flowering or you are going to be very disappointed, especially if you aren''t training your plants, and I don't care what some website designed to generate revenue for someone says. No offense. You got to watch out for websites like those. Good Luck and Happy Growing.
thnx for the info, i will propably switch now to 12/12 , i am doing lst circular to one plant, the other grows like a bush itself, I am not greedy i just want some ounches for my self and do the best i can with what i have... So thnx again i will be posting to share the results, happy growing!

You could do two only if the plants were relatively small and single/dual cola. A plant of any size under that light/multiple colas it's only going to be one. Really it's gonna be hard to do one plant of any good size under there... for my money the 240ws are the sweet spot in terms of performance & price for blackstars. Powerful enough to put out solid nugs but not crazy expensive. I now own eight - 3 veg and 5 flower... and will be getting more flower ones soon (although i might try another brand haven't decided). They are really great if you space'em out over your grow. This is grown under 1 240w but it gets side lighting from 3 other 240s

Sounds about right I believe you can push those yields higher as well I've gone over 4. I had a plant I expected to pull over 6z but had to cut it early... aiming to retry next flower i didn't have time to do a big enough plant this round.

Do they pull that much? I was trying to do the math, but obviously effed up. Wonder what the driver is pulling? And please feel free to start a journal, cause I gotta see you grow if you can pull 80 grams off a 135W. I know there are some people pulling some monster numbers with LEDs and autos, but a number like that from a BS-135W boggles my mind.

Sounds about right to me as far as the pull. Solid yield guessing high yielding strain + dwc.
That closest tops are about 4" from the lights but average is probably 6-8"... they didn't start that close but they stretched up to it and stayed there... I'd move the lights higher but no room i have other plants in the same cab that are about 1 1/2 feet from the lights because they don't want to stretchy any higher, but they've got nice sized nugs on'em anyway

Now I'm not callin BS on the BS135, it's just that in my experience with BS's they have a grow ceiling, and a BS UFO isn't a flowering monster in my book. But that doesn't mean someone else with the right strain can't rock those numbers. DWC does shoot your numbers up so I guess with enough veg time a skilled grower could do it. But I would still like to see it.

quick question guys. im doing a fridge grow so heat is a issue, thats why im leaning toward led. Whats a good light to buy thats not gonna break the bank? dimensions are about 28x28x36. looking at doing 4 plants at a time

How BIG is the heat issue? Because usually LED panels that aren't bank breakers are usually heat makers. Best bet IMO is:

It was under some T-5 for the first 4-5 weeks. It was the strain more than my skill. I didn't do anything different than anyone else would do. It was about 24" tall when done, but had shed most of its fan leaves so there was no shading. The buds were like concrete. I highly recommend this strain. I even purchased more sour 60s as well as sour spyders. It may be a long time until I able to try these again.
On another note, I just pulled 21 oz 8 gr from 2 Blackstar Chrome 405s (480 watt total). 12 plants in a 3"x6" DWC. CG Secret Recipe and Karma's White OG.

These look like they may be a step up from Blackstar 2012s. The company, VMInnovations used to sell Blackstars.
The description is incorrect where they state "Designed specifically for vegetative growth" for the UV model as they also have a HO version which is definitely a veg model.
