Im an optic fan! Ive got one from the early days, optic 360. It's working very well. When the new v29's come out I'm gonna give it an upgrade.200 optic vero
bro this is from Kind's site ;" Your Kind LED Grow Light will cultivate record breaking yields, both in quantity and quality, while running quieter, cooler, and more efficiently than any other grow light. Guaranteed." That is a laughably preposterous statement that no one with any knowledge of the LED market would accept as truth. That alone is a huge red flag indicating a straight up disregard for science, narrow greed and a slimy lack of best business practices.
The at600 came out in 2012/13
You see the Apache vs 1000w hid? Funny how it beat it on a few levels. I only looked a little bit at them. When I ordered the at600 to use with my 4 Kind 1000s the Apache Cto went into a long story about how he has traveled to Shenzhen China to a factory where Kind lights are manufactured but not just for kind . He went on to say that this factory rebrands them for several other companies as well .
I don't know how true that was but I did do more research and there are some lights that are eerily similar to kind lol
Now I'm not saying they are shit by any means and I'm hoping they aren't since I own 4 of them as of today . The one I've been using has been on a minimum of 18 to 24 hours a day up until last week when I switched to 12/12 . I've had no issues with it at all . The plants have consistently grown like crazy with it ..but when you compare that back story to the Hand built Apache lights , that use higher quality materials and go through more than one quality check , American made , and where you can get ahold of someone if you have an issue
It adds some definite appeal over something mass produced using slave labor with less oversight and care for quality .
I haven't found one defect with kind yet and like I said I'm holding my breath hoping I haven't made a costly mistake .. But over the last week or so I've done the additional research and I see the differences and if you have the money get something that's worth it . Kind works , but it's not the best . I just wish when I first came on here the people that were bashing me and my light choice could've conveyed their opinions and facts in a more civil manner and I might have been more receptive .
I don't regret getting the kind LEDs yet and hopefully I won't but If I add more lights I'll be going with Apache . At least if you aren't happy they have a factory and warehouse / office that you could go to or ship back to if ya had to .... Be a bit harder as a disgruntled customer to go to Shenzhen China and get anything done to make shit right lol
Because they are absoultue quality, 1 light per plant pays for itselfI bet he does. Anyone want to tell me why this tiny ass Area 51 panel is so expensive? They appear to be inexpensively made, low wattage, small coverage.
If I were to purchase an LED fixture what would you recommend? I'm not making some half ass cob thing with all sorts of metal pieces taped up hanging from shoe laces. As you can probably tell money dosnt really matter. I would like to compare any advice to the kind that I have already purchased 2 of. instead of name calling and putting down members of the forum for their purchases please read the above posts
Does kind led lie about the par readings at the 3 different heights? Isn't par one of the most important factors in a light? Doesn't having an adjustable spectrum benefit the user and plants at different stages of life?
Another note about being cheap Chinese lights, they do come with an impressive warranty. Cheap Chinese LEDs come to mind when I compare the kind to the 600 watt Mars hydro I got in eBay. It's 20% the size, weighs about 5lbs compared to the kind which scared me to hang with the little ratchet hangers.
I have seen great results with the light. Results that will pay the light back in almost one plant. Then add in the other factors, 700 watts at the wall. That's pretty damn good especially seeing it cover 6 plants very well.
All in all of the majority of the veteran led users all talk great about the Area 51 which I am almost at the point of desperate to know the reasoning. If I walked into a store being completely blind and saw these 2 lights, one with the kind led web info next to mine and the other with the Area 51 web info next to that one I wouldn't hesitate in deciding on the kind.
As far as the comments about my plants being nute burned again I am learning. In a few months or a few more grows im sure my results will be very good.
Go through ups too, its their fault. But agreed if the mfg. steps up plus one for them!View attachment 3655414 Got the AT600 today via UPS and guess what ?
I was all fucking stoked about trying it out and it's smashed in the damn corner and one of the fans is broken .
It's obviously shipping damage , I called Apache Tech and I'm waiting on a call back to resolve this.
I did flip it on briefly and I have to say it's like the Sun Shining at its brightest .
Customer service is a big part of Brand value and this is the First test I suppose . If Apache handles this right they will have a customer that keeps coming back and if not it will diminish the obvious value of their product
