Hey my dude. Why so riled up? I am not married to the lights I use. I use HPS, I use CMH and I use LEDs. I certainly won't let a brand name blind me (pun intended) to fact that they are just bridgelux cobs. i can grow weed with literally any light. Mine don't gotta say Timber on them.

happy you are enjoying your lights. Did they come with the dildo to shove up your ass or did you buy that on your own?
I'm not riled up.....though as I suspected you're just a cheap shot artist that thinks he's a wit

I'm sure that you know all and grow the greatest bud in all the land

Rumor has it that Juan Herrer and Jorge Cervantis reach out to you for advice on how to do things right

Since subtlety and nuance seem to go over your head.... I'll make this clear for you

Knocking small businesses by criticizing their products based on your speculative opinion is just not cool

Sorry if you don't get that concept. Can't fix arrogance and stupidity

With kindest regards,
RW

Say you are supporting a small business. That I can understand. Trying to claim that those off the shelf bridgelux cobs mean anything more than PAR they produce is ridiculous.

also nothing I said was speculative. It was all quantitative. And your sole argument was that those quantitative things don't matter. That's why I really didn't wanna get into it.

Have a nice day man. I also use bridgelux diodes to grow weed.

I never said that. I think that we both agree that their cobs are not as efficient as most strips.

My point regarding their lights is that they are well made quality product that give excellent results. Never said that they were the most efficient.

They don't deserve to be denigrated as some inferior, dated product. That's it...

Finally, Dan and his company are solid and super knowledgeable. Every time I speak to him I learn something new. So yes, I'm supporting a small business and the people that work there. I've never met them. However, they've always treated me well during our interactions and that deserves my support.

That's all I got...

Hi I'm using a super cheap 1000w eq. Beelux and it is working fine in my 2.5x3.5 closet. I struggle with distance from 'canopy' haha but overall it is working. I did when flower came around add a few warm CFLs just to boost a bit, but actual power this is like 115w around 45w CFLs added. I don't suggest this for a serious grower but it did only cost me about $50 and my standards are not ridiculously high. Toss a current photo in here... My hobby closet.

Hillbilly I did maintenance for apt complex, convinced mgr to go led on ext lighting, had piles of hps and mh lamps, but the damn things run too hot for my closet. Ventilation is par at best and if I'm going that route I'd just get a tent kit, as for now I'm good with my toybox lol, it FastBuds' strong genetics help where I fail.

This bud harvested before I put in extra lights, it did get fat and juicy. I stunted the plant by dropping it and breaking nearly all the roots, it did live, went into survival mode and flowered fast and hard. Point is, the Beelux my friends clown me for does work. Mexican Airlines by FastBuds.

Im changing from HPS to LED. My LED has arrived but I read it could be unhealthy to change out lighting types in mid-grow. So I havent installed it yet. Any feedback on this?

Depending on the wattage of HPS you are replacing you may need to dim down the LED a little to not shock the plants. also you'll have to let your temps get higher. Up to 80-82*F instead of say 76-78*F that you might be running with HPS.

I set the lights extra high and at 70% lowering the height and raising the % each day 10% over 4 days. Photo is where I my starting point at about 30 inches. Aglex has really stepped up their game with their M series and newest L series.

Seems my girls love their new light. I love my new light too. Happy family happy life!

I have a marshydro fce3000 in a 3x3 tent and was wondering about supplemental lighting. What are my best options? I was thinking about the qb96 because it has nice reds. What about those 730nm bulbs that you are supposed to use for 10 min before lights on? I was looking into uvb but I dont wanna deal with those tubes and am not convinced its worth it, but some additional light and more red seems like it would help me out.

730nm is 5-10mins after lights out. They do nothing before lights on.

Just got a new Sunraise QB2000 today. They are in sale for about $150 on Amazon. Got mine on sale for prime day for $98. The coverage is the same as my Nextlight Core for 1/5 the price.

First timer here.
I dont know what I'm doing but I do know that lights are important.

Just put this together today
- four 12" LED panels for cheap off Amazon ($36.00/2)
- one Mars TS1000 LED (Currently dimmed to 25% to match the above panels)
- one blue/red/blue & red LED, cuz I dont know why, it was cheap
- four 4-foot 50W T5's vertical in the corners

It fills out the space in my 4x2 tent.

Hey I'm looking for a light I found a few I was wondering if the smd 3030 chips are good any help would be awesome
The 3030 designates the chip size, so there will be differences in efficiency from manufacturer to manufacturer.
Samsung lm301b(or h) are very good chips using that architecture.

I run one of their 480w QB-clone fixtures in my pheno tent.
I've had it for a couple of years now, and it's been flawless.

Fixtures using the latest generation smd3030 can be made and sold 20-25% cheaper. Does this mean that you will get 25% less harvest? Doubtful but the 301H and the 301B are the best and most efficient on the market of mass-produced lighting and usually found on the more recognized and "better" brands. Im sure the commercial guys wouldnt use anything else. I wish I could say I have years of experience with LEDs but I dont but I read alot and not necessarily always here since the opinions are so varied.

I started the year with HPS but switched a couple of months ago to LED. Im using a 400 watt 4 bar with smd3030s and I love it. Its big in size covers 5 x 5 in flower. As much as I like it Im sure I will love the new 650w with 301Bs that arrived a couple weeks ago. Cant wait to try it out! It will be hard to compare the two but I got a cheap par meter of amazon and it will be fun comparing and learning.
