Lol, well it looks like a nice plant to me so I think you made your point. Looking forward to a journal of the frosty.Just to make it clear I didnt post pictures to promote or say one light was better etc. It was in response to the guy that said he wanted to see none stringy plants from the lights
Thanks for the link, That's a nice Blackstar grow that I wasn't aware of. If I can manage getting another 3 seedlings of the ground (old seeds) I will put up a journal using a pair or 240's.https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/370767-art-auto-480.html#post5670703
T-shit's plants are on this page. Again I am not advocating any specific brand but obviously they are working well enough for him. I believe he dedicates one 240 unit per plant. I'm sure he'll see this post sooner or later. T-shirt feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about this. The rest of his journal is on autoflower.net
click on the "here" in his post its homegrowdepot.comWhat site?
Kaptain Kron nice to see you still sticking to the BS panel and you are so correct who cares what any one grower uses or prefers. If new commers to LED wish to shell out big bucks we should support them and their decisions. My hat is off to you for even bothering to write what you spoke of down. Here is fifty plus friends some MK ladies gave forth to an Black Star 240 only Grow. In my eyes it works which is all I expected in the first place. Now I have a new card a new DR 120 tent the 240 LED and a 6"radiant hood with a Phillips Retro White 400CMH which I think will be a hoot!i totally agree with you a lot of folks want to talk shit, but to me i could care less, Numbers dont lie people do, take everything you read here with a grain of salt and make your best decision based on that. It took me six months before i figured out what to buy and im still goin back and forth between kessil and black star. Both have pulled me huge yields, the crops that i kept clean and free of bugs were frosty as hell and nugs were very defined. Think if you take a strain you know dial it in in any medium, an led is more than capable of huge yields. All the people who talk down on blackstars because of them being cheap, why not just pop for one then if they are so cheap and test it. Ill buy it off of you for 75% of what you paid for it after u use it if you dont like it.

You would do best with running 2 panels due to the shape of your tent, more band isn't a bad thing... the important element of the panel is that it should be running 3 watt LED's. You can veg/flower with the same panel and many do. There are dedicated veg panels that do better but most panels will do a great job at both. As far as matching or surpassing a 400w HID goes 133w - 180w X2 should do the trick.ok. 426 pages over 3 years. I tried reading some of this thread to understand a bit, but I figured I would just go ahead and ask. I've been growing with HID's and a few CFL's. I have a 2x4 tent with a 400w bulb. How big of an LED panel would I need for the tent to get similar effects? What's the best brand right now to buy? I read an article a year old that said 6 band and 11 bands are a waste of money and that you only need a few bands of a certain wavelength to get outstanding results. Is that true? Do I only need to buy one type of panel for both veg and flowering, or is it a different panel for each? I'm sorry to ask and I'm sure it's covered somewhere in here, but I can't find it.
Its cool man lolHaha fuck.. Sorry, i do that shit all the time..
Would that be the 740W or the 360W you are using at the moment?wow that was some reading ! Great thread minus the flames.....Well thought I would chime in since I joined the LED club about 6 weeks ago & went with the Advance Extreme Flower series. I have nothing to compare them to but 1000w hid under Magnum Ocho hoods (not a fair comparison). So far im happy with lights although there is no doubt they need to come down in price especially with their limited foot print. I had some clones 3 weeks into flower when I switched them over and they finished nicely, the buds are dense and frosty and no doubt about it, led works! With that said they finished about 2 weeks behind the 1000s and lacking their usual weight, both expected results.
