yep , i hav before and i have some going right now whats your question man?
Oh nice one, just wondering how successful it is really as its something I'm very interested in. How many watts roughly are you running & how much are you averaging per plant? Any downsides?

well so far i have only run different types of kush and i think that might have been my down fall so far , i mean they grow and they grow nice but just not heavy weigh ins at the end but damn the potency is great. my last 12/12 from seedunder leds was under a 67w chinese led and i pulled about 30 g's dried when i was done from about 6 plants so ya not the greatest yield but the potency was amazing. so my advice for you is make sure you find a good strain if you are looking for great yields i hear bubble gum and thc bomb are some great 12/12 from seed strains. currently i have 5 girls under my spectra 290w and i think i will see nicer yields this time but i guess i will see.

one thing I'm seeing lots of is people are trying to grow way too many plants under not enough wattage.. LED is stronger than others but no where close to the 5x the manufacturers are claiming. If you have a mix of LED, CFLs, HPS. if you had a 400w hps you would need 500 of cfl and/or about 200ish watts of LED to match that 400w hps.. I give my LEDs credit for about 2 to 1 against hps, a little more with cfls.. just another old hippies opinion.

Just talked to the guys at gotham hydro and they said they have brand new series of lights that are using 3watt chip sets that are supposed to be full power not stepped down

calling them the chrome series. might have to check them out prices are very similar to what they have now and if i remember right they will have a model close to the 240 watt, and one that is a step up from that, and one close to a 500 watt

anyone else heard of these or gotten one yet?

i seen a picture of them , seems to me blackstars are not the most quality lights but they do seem to work if they can get this new light out for a very similar price and it works at least a bit better than the older one than that could be a good light for sure ..... not to sure about the 3w diodes either i would be weary and check into it for sure.

Also, a visit to hydrogrowled.com looks like they are releasing new leds as well. Now they have aquarium leds, "eco" low powered leds, and omni which sound like they have a spectrum control knob. Hate them or love them, hgl always seems to be coming up with new (improved?) products and/or features.

got the new chrome model on the way to me now. They are supposed to be full spectrum, and set up in 4 spot, 6 spot, and 8 spot models like the penatrator. i got the 4 spot since i've got a small grow area. i'll throw up pics when it arrives! totally excited for my new toy :)

Hello LED fans! I am a first time grower and bought a 90W LED Quad Grow light. It has the four color light range. It is pretty awesome. I have a friend and mentor who has added suggestions and some guidance when I was shopping for a setup. He uses a typical hps and metal halide light system with hydroponics. He also supplied me with my clones. So our plants are the same age and strain. I grow in a soiless mix in a couple of 3 gallon containers. I used plain old miracle grow and he uses a hydroponic solution. My plants are everybit the same size or larger and fuller than his. I kept the lights on for 24/0. I have only started today switching my lights to 12/12. So I will reserve any comments about flowering till I have something real to report.

Most LEDs are simply a "Jake of all spectrums, a Master of none". Here's one I came across that has great promise www.ledgrow.eu The bar graph at the top of the page is a compendium of his experiments and how it evolved
