LED vs. HPS

ok here's to my first post. I have been looking real hard at the 90w ufo LED. Many sites that sell them claim they have just as good light penetration as a 400W HPS. Is this bogus or is it close? Doing a ton of research before I start purchasing for my first grow. I am looking to grow some of the auto strains to start.

I've not used them personally, but generally the opinion around here is no. They always look real good on paper due to spectrums and what not, but they seem to usually fall short of HID in real life from what I've seen. That said I have seen a few ridiculously good grows around here using LED lighting so can't be all bad. So if for some reason though you can't handle a 400Watt HID do to heat or power, then I wouldn't hesitate to use LED just wouldn't be my preferred choice.

no led lights are not close to a 400 watt hps.
notice how leds say all that shit to get you t buy them and hps basically sells themselfs......

thats because if leds worked better than hps we would all be using them.
keep it simple and do what your fellow grow brothers have done for years
