Go with both! I've got a 1k hps and a 300w LED in my 4x4 running together. The side of my critical Jack that sees the LED is swelling better than the side that stays on hps side.
Both is just to expensive. I cant drop 500+ on lights.Go with both! I've got a 1k hps and a 300w LED in my 4x4 running together. The side of my critical Jack that sees the LED is swelling better than the side that stays on hps side.
This is my exact reason for being a little put off by led. But then again i have to be sure. I will not rush this project and want to be absoutly sure i make the right choiceLED is far too expensive and undependable right now. There is nothing about it that would cause me to switch from HPS at this point in time. The fact LED is so wavelength precise and that pot uses such a narrow band of light makes LED the light of the future. That is obvious. But reliability in affordable units right now is cause for me to defer for the time being. Adding 6500K CFL during flowering to augment the HPS is something else I do and that is fairly cheap considering.
I wasnt saying grownorthern wasnt for me. I just dont know ANYTHING about led. Im hoping i could try to stay in the 250 range.what kind of budget are you working with. if grownorthern isnt your style ledhydroponics.co.uk have about 20 models none of which are "discontinued" they have them for all price ranges including the ufo style
Are you doing the T5 thing from the link you posted?LED is far too expensive and undependable right now. There is nothing about it that would cause me to switch from HPS at this point in time. What you doing? The fixture or the bulbs?i think im going to go with the T-5 for htg supply . it will cover my growroom perfecty plus its jot to pricey only 160
Im not sure what your asking. Its a 2 foot 6 bulb T5 with 16000 lumensWhat you doing? The fixture or the bulbs?
I bought a 12 lamp 2'x4' for only $200 shipped - bulbs included... It has 6 switches so u can turn it up or down depending on plants and spacing.Im not sure what your asking. Its a 2 foot 6 bulb T5 with 16000 lumens
Thnx... It's got some drawbacks, like bulb replacement. It was suggested to me to go with 3 four bulb fixtures - but I must admit the 12 bulbs put out some good light and plants have been looking great.Great choice for money spent.
I might have changed my mind over last night. Theres a 135w blackstar I think is the name. And it would be 60 bucks cheaper aftet shipping and everythinggood choice for the money, later on for the future you should def look more into leds, it really is worth it, those who say it isnt obviously have never used em or used the wrong product, I'd still keep the t5 for veg, for now you should look into those flowering bulbs from htg good luck on the grow!
Im calling gotham hydroponics today to ask about this 135w ledgood choice for the money, later on for the future you should def look more into leds, it really is worth it, those who say it isnt obviously have never used em or used the wrong product, I'd still keep the t5 for veg, for now you should look into those flowering bulbs from htg good luck on the grow!
thats a good light but will only cover 1 plant, im using leds for veging, love the way the plants grow under them short and stalky, 1 light per plant, for this stage even the cheap chinese lights work great, 400w hps for flowerIm calling gotham hydroponics today to ask about this 135w led
