Left in veg for too long, tips on pruning please

Thanks, i'm already 2 weeks into flower so i'm guessing this will delay harvest time by a few days?

that's not exactly how a plant works man...
I'm not saying that as a science.(repeated test same result) but it can take away from your plant in the long run. Just saying, the grand scheme here is to produce a sizable yeild with good potency. If your plant is wasting time. Growing stuff your just going to cut off in the end, or have spongey loose nuggs. Isn't that why most people lollipop. I'm not rryin to start any heat. This is just the way I was taught. Its old-school but it works and its a common knowladge kinda thing. What I mean by that is you don't have to be an advanced grower to figure out this method or idea rather

I've just done it but i'm a bit worried because it was quite a loud snap when the branch folded over and the seal on the stalk is broken if that makes sense, theres now a hole in the stem where i broke it, i've attached a photo to show what i mean. Is there anything i should do like put duct tape over the hole in the stem? :-(
