YOU SHOULDNT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS. IVE DONE THE SAME THING. I SWITCHED MY FIXTURES AND BULBS OUT THE OTHER DAY (GOT SOME DIFFERENT LIGHTS) ANDDID THIS. MY TIMERS HAVE A FIXTURE "ON" SWITCH ON TOP TO ALLOW YOU TO TURN THE LIGHTS ON MANUALLY, BYPASSING THE TIMER. WHEN I GOT MY NEW FIXTURES PUT UP,I SET MY TIMERS,ECT AND SOMEHOW ACCIDENTALLY FLIPPED THE BYPASS SWITCH. I WATCH MY TEPS CLOSELY WITH A REMOTE THERMOMETER, AND USUALLY IN THE DARK PERIOD, IT SAYS AROUND 70 DEGREES, WITH MID-HIGH 80S BEING THE NORM WITH THE LIGHTS ON. I NOTICED HIGHER TEMP AND FIXED THE PROBLEM DIRECTLY, BUT THEY GOT ABOUT 2 1/2 HOURS MORE LIGHT THEN THEY SHOULD HAVE. THEY WILL BE ok THOUGH, JUST GO BACK ON 12/12
FYI...plants dont get "confused" as they DONT HAVE BRAINS. photosynthesis is a chemical reaction, not a conscience physical reaction on the part of a plant. also, plants wont turn into hermaphrodites in stress situations unless the plant they originally came from had hermaphrodite tenancies. tenancies to turn hermaphrodite are genetic defects in the plant, and can be brought on by stress, but leaving your lights on for an extra 2 hours or 4 hours isnt going to generally do it unless it was on the verge anyway
just speaking from my OWN experiences.
