How will being tried for F manufacturing and pos. in District court be better for me than if it was tried in Superior?
Legal question.

I have a very good(and busy)one. However I won't get to talk to him until next week. Just curious if anyone knew the answer.
They can start you out in district to get you into court quickly if the superior courts are busy. Then they simply move it to superior court if they want to. If I remember correctly from the legal class I took district is civil suits under 25k and criminal penalites under 2 years. Superior is civil suits over 25k and criminal penalties over 2 years.
You can be charged with murder and start off in district and then they just simply move you over to superior court. It's not hard to move you over, they just file a motion.
It may be a good sign that your starting in district but don't I wouldn't get too excited. Basically they're going to do whatever they want with you.
I'm too lazy to go get my notes and books out and you wouldn't want to take legal advice from me anyway. Call your lawyer, it's a simple question but I know I have the basics covered.
I would be researching what others in your COUNTY have been sentenced to for what you have done. That may give you an idea of what to expect. However each case is different since you may or may not have a record, etc.
