i work for a lawyer. legal fees are expensive

how many undercover cops do you think are on this site right now, acting as though they were growers just like us?

i know marijuana is illegal, but i've never understood the amount of paranoia that most people feel!!! i mean, i have friends that won't take green in their car ever. the "MAN" has alot more things to do then track people on marijuana forums, it's absurd to think you could get busted as a result from posting pictures, and i'd say that's never happened! shit, it's not heroin, or murder, it's some pot. And i guess i'm not worried bout shit cause i have 4 plants goin right now, haha...take care guys

Exactly - the whole point of being undercover is that you will be undetected as a kop and blend in with others. It would only be beneficial to a kop to be undercover on this site to try to gain trust from particular individuals and build a "friendship" to the point where grower feels comfortable to swap address info to arrange trading things via pm, such as seeds, pipes, etc.

I would feel VERY skeptical of ANY person on this website who wanted to establish a "friendship" with me via pm and perhaps want my email address, my phone number, my address to send things to, etc. If this happens to you, maybe you should consider sending a nice pm back to the person stating that you wish to sever ties immediately and ask that person not to communicate with you any longer - and then send a message to GrowTech or other staff alerting them to the possibility of undercover kop.

There is, without a shadow of doubt, undercover kops on this forum and every other marijuana forum on the net. Don't trust anyone with your life on here. Kops are dirty, scheming individuals with one thing on their mind - and it ain't your freedom(s)!

The biggest grow forums on the net, overgrow.com was taken down in 2006. Not for grow information or anything like that but because the people running the site were selling seeds globally. As far as I can tell the people who were charged in the case STILL have not had the cases settled. (last info I was able to find on their case was from March of 200 I've also not heard of a single instance of any of the sites users getting busted from that bust. Cops took the servers so if they were going to do anything with it I would think we'd have heard something by now.

No, i absolutely hear on that. but like jake said. it jsut seems like this would be such an easy way for the cops to crack down on this kind of stuff through. but at the same time, i also understand how 97% of the people on these websites are such smal time growers that it would be a waste of the DEA's time (dependinng on what country your in) to bust people this way.

My state just got medical rights I am merely trying to educate myself for the situtation that I may be able to provide care to somebody, and enjoyment to myself. Fuck the police.

your right, they could infiltrate us pretending to be growers. have pics, and relationships with other members(cops too?). could develop relationships that could lead to busts. but lets be realistic here, think of the time a personality would have to spend to earn your trust, then think of the money to pay that individual to do thier job. its just not plausible. it would take a full-time motherfucker to get me to meet/swapshit/whatever with them. and i dont see LEO paying a full time person to track personal growers. anytime someone makes crazy, outlandish requests to a user here it usually gets bradcasted quick so if someone was trying to bait several people at once we would hear of it. if 3 people got busted because of RIU im sure we would hear from at least one of them warning us.

Thats the creepiest thing i've ever seen. No in this thread has even mentioned yet the absurdness of how this PLANT is illegal. A PLANT PLANT PLANT PLANT, something that grows naturally from mother earth. A plant that causes for less problems then say aclcohol, or half of the over the coutner drugs that if taken properly can get you nice and fucked up. We shouldnt even be having this conversation. I think Michael Phleps should lead the next Legalize it campaign.
