Both of you gents make the same point. Your worried about a control that is based on cannabis value... monsantos control is a poor comparison my brother.
Its time for people to lose this thought process against legalization because they think they are going to lose out on the opportunity to sell it... that's what it boils down too.
Legalizing it would open opportunity and even more people would be growing than there is now.. theyd have a hard time regulating that..
Legalize and get this shit over with.
Good point. I've made the same argument for rescheduling- it just makes it legal and puts it in the hands of big pharma, physicians and pharmacists. You're off the mark.
Would you prefer to be able to grow your own marijuana, or would you rather turn that right over to Merck, or Marlboro? If you like being able to grow your own, then ask yourself this: Why aren't Merck or Marlboro currently producing/selling marijuana? Because it's illegal for them to do so.
Flip the script and legalize marijuana, and they will be all over this like flies on shit. Marijuana surpassed corn as the number one cash crop in this country. There is an obscene amount of money on the table here. If you don't believe that big corporations will take this over and legislate the rest of us out of the ability to grow our own then I think you're not looking at this with your eyes wide open.
Bob-thats the most rational thing i have seen you write in awhile.....Good point. I've made the same argument for rescheduling- it just makes it legal and puts it in the hands of big pharma, physicians and pharmacists.
Perhaps the answer is to simply make it a civil infarction of some sort, but remove the forfeiture money from the equation. Make it a low yield pain in the ass to prosecute and they will move on to other cases.
Dr. Bob
smoked with him qutite a number of times out west...DI'd you know jack? Jack herrer?

Worried about not being able to grow it, is more to the point. Decriminalize...I don't need it regulated & taxed...nor do i want to see the cannabis terminator gene plant or buy my meds @ Walmart. FTW does not mean under government control.
You will lose your right to grow the plant you love so much though. Mark my words. Uncle Sammy knows how much money he stands to lose by letting us grow for ourselves, and Sammy wont lose. Hope i'm wrong.... I simply do not agree fellas.
Legalization is inevitable. Mark my words, Quote me.

I am dieing.
I have dedicated my life to my child, and to all of man kind through cannabis education. Monitary gain has no value in my life. I am broke. I work for the sake of my child, and the power of selfless good deeds. I cannot take care of myself and have the help of family however, I opened a patient and caregiver service in Michigan for one very important reason to me. It was very important to me, to leave Alaska and support change in the very place I was born, and return to the same town I was arrested in over cannabis, many many years ago. I was charged with 15 years for growing my own medication...for that, I am who I am. For the sake of my child, his education in the TRUTH about cannabis and the political power overseeing its legal/illegal status was of the upmost importance for me, before my time is up. I have worked with countless patients in the few years I have been here and for each, my work has been a gift. I dont seek to gain, or secure interests for anyone who does. I am here to end a drug war that affects the entire globe. I know my efforts are small, effect few people, and have little affect on the grand scheme. What I also know, is that I am one man doing what every man can. Speaking out, standing up (when not in a wheelchair), and giving myself to others for a greater cause. I understand that not everyone can be in my position and let lifes woes melt away and take on dreams; but my dream is freedom. My dream is achievable, and when I die, my job will be done. I will be free. My son, I will always worry about, long after my time. For he, I will work until that time. I hope some of you will carry on and help take care of my child. Insure him freedom, and yours.
Thank you.
All one love,

yes woodsman the truth 'will' set you free but first it willl piss you off.....The greatest of empires were eventually over thrown, african slave trade ended in our country, a man walked the moon (lol, or maybe not), private space exploration has begun, and folks are talking about a colony on Mars.... Knowledge sets you free. The people are learning!
