There is no reason we shouldn't be able to get it on the 2016 ballet! We need to tell all our fellow stoners and patients to start paying attention to everything that has to do with getting the leaf legalized! Our biggest problem are the people who don't care or think its gonna pass no matter what. Yeah its gonna happen eventually but if we got the majority together now it could happen a hell of a lot sooner!

lol noone is gonna go pot touring in dertroit.. it wont help ur state like it did colorado. im right next door to u in chicago. i know u guys got medical first but i think we will legalize first

I'm not trying to be a downer but I'm rooting for my state over yours. It all depends on whose state grows a pair first and actually gets it done.

Legalization of recreational marijuana use in Michigan took another step forward yesterday, with the approval of the wording for two competing ballot proposals. The State Board of Canvassers approved two separate petitions - one by Michigan Cannabis Coalition (MCC) and one by Michigan Comprehensive Cannabis Law Reform Committee(MCCLRC). Both ballot proposals are targeting the Nov., 2016 election, and both would legalize and tax recreational marijuana use by adults over the age of 21. The groups will each need to collect 253,000 signatures overt the next 6 months to get the proposals submitted to the legislature. If the legislature receives the proposals and chooses not to pass either of them into law, the proposals would go on the Nov. 2016 ballot.

If only 50% of voters are in favor of legalization, it's doomed to fail if more than one initiative gets on the ballot.

There should have been a coordinated effort to get only one approved

Yes, I thinks it's interesting that all 3 groups (and maybe a new fourth group) are all pushing similar plans. It will be interesting if all of them make it on the ballot.

Please Remember the 2008 Michigan Medical Marihuana Act was a Peoples Initiated Constitutional Amendment.

Anything that is passed by a Peoples Initiated Legislation, will come UNDER the Authority of anything in the Constitution, like the now being rewrote Michigan Medical Marihuana STATE CLUB To the Head ACT, where they will be writing in Compliance Checks if they want to. and Guess what happens if(as in as if) but more likely when they write in Compliance Checks into the Constitutional MMM A, and then Legalized Recreational Pot is passed by a Legislative Amendment which is UNDER the Authority of the MMMA, and you can grow 12, JUST LIKE THE MEDICAL PATIENTS.... but you get more, ie you are OVER LIMIT from the 2.5 in the MMMA too.

I am basing this on Constitutional Authority. That is to say the Structure of Power in Michigan.

We the Electorate. (The People set here in Authority-that would be YOU)

The Constitution. (The MMM Act sets here in Authority-being rewrote by Congress with a 75% Super Majority as everyone celebrates the knife that is cutting their throat).

The Government. (Congress is here which includes Initiated Legislation (aka legalized recreational pot).

So. there you have it. Anything Congress does to the MMM Act while it is open to put in the CONCENTRATES the Fountainheads Dealed for... will have MORE Constitutional Authority than the Legalization of Recreational Pot.

I have wrote language, and it is nearly firmed up and ready to be submitted.

Here is my version of the "Statement of Purpose" That will sum up what my proposal will do for Michigan 2016 and into the Future.
If you can not support this, you are a willing slave of your government. I have been in contact with groups outside this community that do not support any legalization effort that does not Neuter Government where Cannabis is Concerned.

Are you all ready to At least step the hell up and END the WAR ON CANNABIS in its entirety here in MIchigan?
If you are, this is the only thing you should be discussing.

"STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:

(1) Abrogate all codes, laws, policies, remove penalties for all cannabis

(2) use/associations.

(3) Removal from Michigan Controlled Substances Act in perpetuity.

(4) Cannabis/cannabis associations no longer actionable offenses

(5) against any persons in any manor whatsoever by Law Enforcement,

(6) Private, Local, or State Agencies/Agents. Strike all

(7) relevant Public Health/Criminal Codes and shall be kept in perpetuity.

(8) Allow cannabis use for persons 18+, minors with parental/guardian

(9) consent, for all treatments, research, medical, businesses,

(10) educational, industrial, manufacture, development/deployment, like

(11) other plants, plant products into any forms.

(12) Retail taxation/regulations conform to standard state tax codes.

(13) No Sin Taxes in perpetuity."

This is a Solid representation of what Michigan Wants,

Considering my above post about the Congressionally rewrote MMMA, anything they want to put in or modify with a Supermajority vote Congress Believes they have, they can.

like for instance MMM A Compliance checks that will have legal Authority over any Legislatively Initiated law, like Recreational Dope. And what is happening to people that are outside the MMM Act today boys and girls?

SO that is how your Community fountainheads have been treating you. While Inking their Court Docket Schedules full on the Misery of those the claim to have empathy for and "ONLY WANT TO PROTECT".


Legalized Recreational Dope Initiatives, all of them, should be more righteously title,

"THE CRIMINALIZATION OF FAIR TRADE AND LEGALIZED PROHIBITION ACT"

There is only one redress. REPEAL PROHIBITION IN MICHIGAN and Neuter the Government in the Process.

It would be better for the different parties and hammer out a single proposal. Once passed, it can be adjusted legislatively
