The strains that made Cookies
When it comes to cannabis culture and products, few names ring off in the streets like Cookies. Its genetics have been used to create some of the most popular strains...
I totally agree with you here. Once people take a step back from the daily popularity contest over at Instagram, and start really thinking about what's in their weed's genetics as a whole, then they can see that breeders like Prof P from Dynasty, SkunkVA, Caleb from CSI Humboldt, and many other notable breeders, are still actively moving the cannabis genetic pool forward in the right ways. It's all about the name game majority of the time too.If a strain is really good it will last the test of time no amount of hype can save it with that said we do have some that’s here to stay and cookies even with the sketchy history is for sure one of them
Gsc ,Gg4 ,Gelato ,Sherbert ,Zkittlez ,cherry pie those strains are the building blocks of the last 10 years of new strains and are deff worth the hype
wedding cake / ice / birthday.. runtz / kush mints / MAC1 are deff more than just hype and are becoming the building blocks of the next generation.. to say that it’s not improving is not true
Now I agree with the saturation of the market it will make it seem like nothing new is happening but when u step back and look at it as a whole for sure it’s making moves and with everyone tryna to make the same move first with the same gene pool it gets boring quick
The good thing Is it brings room for nostalgia and that is what keeps it fresh .. there’s been a huge resurgence of haze and hybrids with strains like bandaid haze and A5 haze being really sought after .. I just had some really good real blue dream and the disappointment on people’s faces when I said it was finished .. that taste and High is special u won’t find it in the newer hybrids not everyone wants to be stoned like a zombie
Dude, I could post up a link from 2009 (with no mention of either of the two) when they were talking about cookies. As a matter of fact, you can go the ThcFarmer and find a few conversations around that time period. So it's safe to say that those two didn't create cookies; they just popularized and capitalized on it.![]()

This is a joke, I was buying cookies december 2012 and selling it with my homegrown. It's been popular in NYC since 2012.Cookies were cut only back then, and outside west coast dispensaries it was pretty unknown. Now it’s up there with OG as far as name recognition goes.
