Lemon Garlic OG

Hello all, vegging a Lemon Garlic OG from Humboldt Seeds. So far this feminized baby is doing great. I have started it inside under a Aerogarden light on May 1, 24 hour light cycle. She will be going outside soon and I will use one of the branches to breed (cover all branches except one, use a paintbrush to place pollen on the chosen one). Let me know if you've got any questions and enjoy the ride if you decide to watch.

For the record she has been topped and pruned to allow more light penetration so far. Watered with Superthrive and a liquid plant food mixl I came up with.

Not much new since thread started but she is now officially outside with day/night, so pretty little flowers here we come.

Looking good so far. Had rain pretty consistently every day here. Making sure to keep her fed so far, and she seems to be getting taller, bushier, and overall just more sexy.

I will post a few pics tomorrow because today I am out of town for July 4th. Hope yours do as well as this one has for me.

She is in flower now and is showing her hairs so we should be in for a better show from here on out.

Definitely got some buds starting to spring up and looking pretty good in my opinion. Let me know if you have any input.

Nice plant! I am thinking about getting this strain. I am hoping for of a sativa pheno. I like to train my plants to maximize yield.

I just have a little constructive criticism for you that could help. I'd paint the PVC green or something to camouflage it better. I'd also remove the middle cross bars you have on the pvc trellis and add a net or fencing in there instead. With the cross bars, you are blocking a little bit of light and it's less effective at supporting the many branches/buds than a netted/fenced trellis.

Firstly, thank you for your input. I actually made that on a budget a while back and haven't really gone to get any netting. Typically I don't have that in place, but when we get thunderstorms I set it up to prevent too much sway from the wind.
Still though, I intend to get a net of some sort for it.
This strain so far seems to be a pretty nice-growing strain. Started it inside so I could have a little control over veg environment, moved outside to flower.
Smells great already, buds are filling up the branches quicker than I expected as well so she is in for a nice ride, provided there are no crazy hurricanes or something.
Stealth is something I've put thought into this time around, the fence surrounding this has been replaced, haven't told anybody except my one buddy who is in on it with me here (loose lips sink ships). Not worried about him though as we have operated together for quite some time with various experiments on this front.

Quick update tofu. I pollenated one of the side branches with a paintbrush and it appears it has taken. So one branch will be giving me seeds and the rest will be for flowers. Pics won't upload on my phone lately so they will be on here later today.

How do you keep your stalks so green in Veg? Your plants remind me of Broccoli stalk green! That's great. Do you have a secret or maybe just what you use during veg?

I was using a liquid plant food I concocted, and a wee bit of superthrive. Many people on here do not think much of superthrive but imo it helps with transplants and most stresses. As for the color I believe it is partly due to the food and the fact that I pruned it, removing any fan leaves that got too big for their britches because you allow more light down beneath the canopy, allowing for more even growth.

This strain is pretty damn stable, I see alot of similiarities in our plants. my three are doing well, 3 weeks of 12/12 today, one is already triching out fan leaves and they're big'uns, a nice green and I've had no problems thus far.

How tall is this one?

I'll probably have to get in there and pluck some leaves myself.

Also, what strain did you pollinate her with?

This one is about 16-18 inches tall. I topped her with sufficient time to recover before putting her into flower, so she is staying short and strong. I am considering getting an actual trellis of some sort like for tomatoes because the lower branches are filling out and starting to get heavy. Looking fantastic though.

I only pollenated one branch, that way the rest of the plant can focus on budding, but I should get some pretty dam good seeds from this. I pollenated with a local strain called Juicy Fruit. Starting to think of names for the offspring but will probably not choose one in particular until I grow the seeds out at least once. How does 'Garlic Lemonade' sound?

p.s. I would definitely recommend removing fan leaves that get too big from this strain, as it seems to benefit from it more than most. Just try not to do too many at once, and be careful if you're pulling them by hand.

Also, in regards to your earlier comment, you may be good by now but from what I read you are able to like posts on here once you have received likes from at least three people on here.

Here are some pics my buddy took on the 14th, his camera doesn't focus well but you can get an idea of how she's filling out so far.

Yo! So far loving the grow, But I have to say man, as looking at your pics, you def. have a thripe infestation bro... Just Fyi.. I know this because I currently am enduring a thripe infestation, and those leaves look just like mine did a few weeks ago.. Get some predatory mites, or lace wings, and then get nematodes for the soil (to kill all the eggs and larvae). That will 100% control the thripes and still keep your buds organically clean from foliage sprays and what not. Regardless it looks like your baby is about done, so I guess at this point it doesn't really matter.. From what I've been told and researched, the only thing they do is debilitate the growth rate due to their eating and poop covering the leaves from efficiently photosynthesizing. So, you probably would have had a bigger yield, but oh well, still looks beautiful! Other than that, Can't wait to see the outcome!
