If you top them once you will end up with two main cola's. top them twice to get four. I will not try topping again as Fimming has better results and does not slow down the growing process. also if you fim once you will get four tops.I am going to top all of mine slightly above my first set of 5 leaves. From what I have read that is the second true node. If done correctly by Uncle Ben's topping technique i should;d end up with 4 main colas on each plant.
Topping is the removal of the entire top, Fimming is only taking the tip of the top.FIM is just trimming other sections correct? not the top but others surrounding the top?

No it's really simple just don't take out as much as you did to top. I just cut the top of like I was mowing grass but deep enough to cause the top to split. If you fail you can keep trying. But ya it is way simpler if your inexperienced to just cut the top out.idk it seems like u need more experience in FIMing then to top. Just cut the top off. lol but thats only my opinion
If you read uncle ben's topping guide. he says that you will end up with 4 main colas if topped at the second true node. Which I have now done on all of my plants. If I for some reason only end up with 2 no biggie I will be doing a little lst here and there I'm sure.If you top them once you will end up with two main cola's. top them twice to get four. lmao my shits hella ghetto. Hope to see ur little girls soonlooking good man. Nice!
Thats like a 5 year old guide. and what he is referring to is called several things, pinching and fimming is what it is called today. If you cut just before you see the node you will always end up with 4 tops but cut under the first node and you will only end up with 2 tops. I prefer fim'd plants over topped because of the staggered heights of the cola's when topped at least when fim'd they are usually all the same height and no extra veg time.If you read uncle ben's topping guide. he says that you will end up with 4 main colas if topped at the second true node.
