Let me guess 3 more weeks?

First grow, 4 of these ladies in 3.5 gallon buckets. Headband : Day 55 of flower, my buddy chops at day 56 period. Commercial operation. I'm on day 55 and just a few occasional random amber trichs on the buds, a few more on the leaves. I know some strains amber differently, and that trichs aren't the only thing to look for. Should I wait a week, or two, or three?

I know enough to see the bottoms are still a good ways out, I plan to chop the top halves and give the bottom an extra week to 10 days or maybe just process it into concentrates, still up in the air.

Opinions!!!! It's so close, I don't want to mess up now.

i think a week more at the most. just let them go to 60 days let them ambrer up a bit.

also harvest whats done first ...either way your gonna be chopping something in a few days

Alright, I'll watch the trichs a while longer. That's what I read, if you think they're ready, wait a week. Didn't really think they were ready though with hardly any amber.

I will do s 2 stage harvest, I'm not in a hurry to flip the ladies in veg, so I can give these another week and then another week or so for the bottom halves to mature.

I won't be cutting tomorrow, but damn, so close!

they look done to me, i'm sure another week wont hurt.

doubt they will grow much if any but they will probably ripen right up leaving you with nice dense buds which pack quite a punch.

great job for a first grow, you have set the bar high for yourself now.

flood those shits with water... everyday... run water threw the soil until the run off is as clear .

Looks like you are in the harvest window. If you see an increase in amber, chop them right away. Nice work!

Thanks man, within the first few weeks of growing I had already grown an appreciation gor the price of mj. I had thought it was way overpriced. The time, money, energy, research, time, care, sleepless nights, stress, money, time, etc.... You either pay a fine price for fine weed, or make the financial investment and put in your time. I chose the later and DAMN am I proud. It's so cool. To have a fellow grower give you a nice word, it feels good.

There was actualy a few more amber this morning than last night. I'll check them when lights come on tonight, and probably make the decision whether to chop tonight, or check them again in the morning.

Any more opinions on split harvest vs processing ALL the bottom halves into concentrates. Should I let them mature or process them, or half and half?

if you have nothing to replace the plants with then you might as well do a selective harvest, take all the tops and let everything else mature.
if you are on a budget or have plants ready to replace them i would say harvest the lot and process the lowers stuff.

nothing is as good as your own weed, you are in for a real treat!

cut all the top buds off

treat the stems seal them, trim off all the nice lower bud

leave all the lower leaf on the plant

Feed it with veg/root feed and put it into veg

Or if you have ga3 just spray the plant once you`ve cut all the buds off and leave it at 12/12 or 14/10 you can feed it bloom or veg feed

the buds will send out shoots, the shoots grow leaves and then nodes and flowers and its just as fast as rooting a clone takes maybe faster depending on what you start out with

It`s what I do if I really liked a plant and want to do a quick re-run on it

Currently have 3 c99`s that were harvested about 10 to 12 days ago that already have new growth showing.

My educated guess would say only one more week.
I would like to commend you on your grow. If people take a close look at your pics , people will see that you can grow a quality crop with plain wood walls . You do not need to go all out and spend a lot of extra money trying to have reflective walls . It's nice but not a deal breaker. Taking proper care of the grow is what is going to get you a crop worth bragging about.

I appreciate your good words, that photo was taken in my lung room. I pulled a lady out of the flower chamber to take the pic away from my HPS. My walls and ceiling are coated in mylar, very neatly might I ad. I wish I could do a plain wood wall grow, i spent $3k on my first grow. I think it paid for itself though,

I'll take that as a compliment! I don't mind a little dirt or clutter, but not in my garden. My wife trips at how clean I keep it. I spent time and money to make it as neat, organized and as functional as possible, not gonna let it be a mess. Well, it gets messy transplanting and stuff, but I pick it up right away. A clean garden is a happy garden, helps with pest control too, I think.

I like the color on those first pics. Beautiful plants man.

Dude.. vary good first grow . I'd say your right at the finish line . And can cross it. Will be when ever you see fit .
There's the whole theory of what color trics give what kinda high . Idk how much I belive it .(Cuz I was always lead to believe Indies. and sats. where the cause of the high) but regardless I usually harvest at a low amber ratio so when I start seeing a couple an almost every bud I chop .
Cuz I do think amber also means degrading thc
An usually when I harvest There's a few ambers
But usually ever thing is cloudy

Make your choice cuz I think it's a short window .
Deffinitly give us a harvest pic and or a dried weight report
