Let Me Hear From A Responsible Smoker

I want to hear from responsible smokers.

If you are under 21, or if you still live with Mommy and/or Daddy without a good reason, or if you are a drop out and have not gotten an education, or if you are a gang banger, or if you are selling maurijuana for a job, or if you are a maurijuana feen, or if you are a drug user other then alcohol or mauriuana I do not consider you a responsible smoker. Is there anyone out there who is a maurijuana smoker who has a good job other then me, and a few individuals I know?

The reason I am wanting to hear from you (the responsible smoker) is because I'm shocked to find so many people in the world who consider maurijuana as a serious drug. I rarely see people who have decent jobs and normal lives who smoke maurijuana. Most often I find the irresponsible smoker tainting maurijuana because of their idiotic actions. Let me just hear from you (the responsible smoker). What do you do for a living? Why do you smoke? What do you like about it?

i am in college and i am a responsible smoker. i make good grades and my only thing is i just like to smoke pot, but i dont let it interfere with my school. i have a good job working as an assitant in an office. just living life

I have a college degree, a good paying job where I am my own boss, own my home, luxury sport car, etc. I just like to chill out with a good toke every now and then and relax. I consider it the same as someone else who may prefer to have a beer or a mixed drink after work, nothing more, nothing less. I don't while I am at my office, cruise around smoking in my car, or anything stupid or irresponsible at all. You can be a 'normal' person, a good citizen, taxpayer, church goer, or whatever you want to be and enjoy . You would be surprised to know who really smokes out there, your aunt or uncle could have been smoking for years and you would have never known. Anyways, it is simply just bad laws which probit legality for most people to freely enjoy a god given plant, which I have always found utterly rediculous.

I just take it all into moderation. Everything can and has been abused. Nothing should consume your life, there should be a balance. I like to smoke to relax, but when I got to get shit done, I throw on my game face and do it-smoke later.

I smoke, i drink, and i do my homework (but honestly im cutting it close). I have rule that will keep me from ever becoming too much of a pot-head. Sorry to anyone who does this but i think smoking alone is bad. I guess if no one else will do it with you you can, but like when i smoke theres too parts. like i smoke 50% to hang out with people and 50% to get baked. If i did it alone itd just be weird. Atleast this way i can say i smoke cause i love to party.
And i agree with that dude up there. Pot is less intense then alchohol, and its illegal. Its the laws that are bad, not weed.

I am a responsible smoker and I have two great professions. Right now I am working as a carpenter and 80% percent of the time I don't smoke at work, but there are certain tasks that require a slight glow. My other job which I got laid off from is an aircraft mechanic. It is a little harder to be an active smoker doing that job, but I make it work. You have to keep a little more focused and remember that other peoples lives are in your hands.
I smoke recreationally mostly, but I also do it to help with anxiety, depression, and weekly migraines. I would rather come home from work and burn one any day over having a drink.

another one here. I've smoked full time for over 20 years. I did the cocaine/ecstacy/acid thing in my youth, as well as the barhopping drinking years, but gave that up and only smoke now.

I "normally" hold down a job. Due to the economy I've been out of work longer than I'd like, but when I do work, I go to work everyday.

I pay my bills, have a house, own expensive toys and am physically active. At 35, I can say 'been there, done that' to most things in life.

Now I'm just content to live my life quietly, smoking to enjoy the buzz and the creativity it gives me to pursue music and writing.

let me just say im a pizza delivery guy and the other night at work the assistant manager of the restaurant invited me to go to her house to smoke some of her new lemon deisel or some shit. she is the most responsible person at the restaurant. its absolutely rediculous i would have never thought she smoked. when i go to her house, she pulls out fat jars of huge corndog sized nugs. turns out her bf grows outdoors. haha. she kept the bong passing around the whole time i was there. i think it was like 8-10 bowls. rediculous

I dont get it,unless you've grown your own weed your entire life then you've bought weed from somebody who sells for a living,im not to keen how you classed weed dealers as irresponsible,if it werent for them we'd all have been scrounging for a roach most of the time,im not real keen on people looking down on pot dealers,they take mucho risk & supply a much needed service.

With that being said im as responsible as they come & no i do not sell weed at any time,my profession is construction management where im a superintendant of one of the worlds largest union construction companies from which im very near retirement,i can retire today if i wish & im seriously thinking about it right now ,my wife is an ex school teacher who's won several outstanding service awards & who volunteered for years mentoring problem children.

As a long term married couple of close to 30 years we have no bills or debt including owning the home we live in free & clear,we also have substantial savings as well as investments in real estate.

We give generously to our local hospital's pediatric oncology ward to bring gifts to children who will never go home again & to help parents who cant afford to miss work to spend time with their children in their last days alive,we have put both our son's through school & made sure we have enough put away so after we take the big dirt nap they will have a great start in life.

What i enjoy about smoking bowls is the relaxation part of it,after a good smoke im very mellow,my job requires that im constantly thinking about issues that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars,or controlling situations where people can get seriously hurt or killed,i have to think fast all day 6 days a week & after a nice bowl my mind clears of stressfull thoughts.

I have serious pain issues that give me allmost constant pain from an explosion i was in on a construction site where i recieved 3rd degree burns over 12% of my body,i also have alot of pain from another job site accident where i broke my back 25 years earlier,i have 2 discs that are completely gone to the point its bone on bone,this pain is something i'll live the rest of my life with,ive vomited before the pain was so intense.

I like the fact that when i smoke heavily i dont need any of the heavy narcotics like vicoden or oxycontin that my pain management doctor has prescribed me,most of the time i can control the moderate pain by smoking a bowl & taking a vicoden ,without the weed i'd need 80 mg's of oxycontin 3 times daily as my pain doctor prescribes.

With my wife smoking pot it is quickly becomming a blessing bestowed by god & thats no bullshit,we feel that strongly about it,she has progressive MS & with that comes alot of nerve pain & severe spasms,she also nearly died from accute pancreitis which brings pain like ive never seen,her pancreas will never fully heal,the more her illness progresses the more she rely's on pot,she has zero appetite,a full meal for her consists of some watermellon & maybe some toast,after she smokes i can get her to eat half a hamburger or a full lobster tail which is her favorite food,without the bowl of weed she has no desire to eat.

She has spasm's & tremors that she equates to severe & paralyzing electric shocks within her nerves which bring massive amounts of short term pain until the tremors subside,afterwards she's drained,i will pack her a nice bowl & put her to bed,without the bowl she's too drained to rest she just passses out,after a bowl she gets real meaningfull sleep.

With a major illness like MS comes alot of depression,we as a family fear that without smoking weed she'd take her own life,before MS she was the leave it to beaver mom & loved it,she was a school teacher who loved her carrerr,the disease took so much from her it's easy for us to understand her depression,we keep her high (at her request) as much as possible,the weed keeps her on an even keel which is something the shit the doctors give her can never do.

She just had major surgery again last thursday evening where they slit her throat to remove her thyroid & para thyroid,this is going to leave a huge scar requiring plastic surgery so she can feel good about her looks again,she was a footwear model in her youth & had outstanding beauty,men would turn their heads everywhere she went,MS is slowly taking it away from her & it hurts her feelings very badly,smoking helps her come to grips with her illnesses progression.

Both of my son's are active in my growing of our weed even though they do not smoke at all,they enjoy helping grow their mothers medicine & they are proud of how it helps their mothers quality of life.

In our home growing & smoking is a family issue to be shared by all,even those who dont smoke at all & its been a blessing.

Haha, I'm 20, I'm responsible, and with that post you can squat down and kiss my ass. Don't come on the forum and start posting garbage like this. You might as well re-word everything, because you're asking for YOUR OPINION of 'responsible'.

I have a job making almost $45,000 a year (how many 20 year olds do that shit?) I have a trade certification in audio engineering, I'm also a licensed truck driver (which I make my living off of.) To me, I'm pretty successful for my age.
Do I have a house? No, I live with and take care of my 88-year old grandmother who can't do hardly anything for herself.

Now you take your negative attitude somewhere else. Good day sir.

I know a lot of "responsible" marijuana smokers...Ive sold to cops, lawyers, even to an old retired judge. I had a good job until the economy crashed, now I do what I gotta do. As for the boneheads out there..There is no escaping them..They're everywhere!

For a living now I'm a musician(pays enough to make the mortgage). I smoke for a creative outlet, and smoking is the only thing I do.

I am 20yo. I live with my grandma because she is alone. I am starting to help pay some bills. I bought my own car and pay my own insurance.

I went to school in Toronto,On. i have gotten a certificate in Mobile Electronics (MECP).. basically I install car stereo systems/alarms/navigation/remote starters. Its hard finding a job in my area for this but until i do i have something else.

I quit smoking a month before i applied for a job, that i got and love. I work at the worlds busiest Amazon.com warehouse. I do different things from stowing, receiving etc. It pays decent and with the Christmas season around the bend i am working a lot of overtime. I hear their gonna give random drug tests so i think im going to cut back a little.

My hope is to open up my own little installation bay where i can work as a Mobile Installer. As there is only like one shop in a 25 mile radius.

I like to smoke especially after a long day of work, Come home kick off the shoes and relax. I love to snowboard high, it puts me in the groove and builds confidence.

My gram thinks weed is like a hardcore drug, i don't understand, i try to tell her that a lot of successful people smoke and it is not as bad or dangerous as 'they' make it seem.

I try not to drive with anything in my car, if i do i make sure my car is in perfect working condition ... no busted headlights/taillights, all lights work etc. only gives the pigs a reason to pull you over so why draw unattended attention. My cuz got busted that way, he has a court date coming up..dumass, now he is an irresponsible smoker, he is living off his girlfriend has no job..

Perhaps a search through the thread archives will answer all your questions. There are threads here that cover members' education, employment, past drug use history, why they use cannabis (medicinal or otherwise), how much they smoke (there is a poll that shows the average gram useage per day of some 300 members), when they started, how long they've been smoking, how much they pay, what sort of bud they prefer.

In fact, with a little research across this forum and threads, I reckon you could people a profile on individual members even if they haven't filled their details out in the public profile area.

For the public record, I am self-employed but currently not working due to illness. I have a degree in Information Technology, I smoke an average gram a day of quality bud. I am also 45 years old and have smoked since I was around 13. I smoke for medicinal reasons that I won't bore people with again.

As for being a 'responsible smoker'. I would suggest that most people are. The media takes great delight in giving dickheads and fuckwits more limelight than your average smoker. You should remember that most average smokers smoke in the privacy of their own home and don't go on 'Cheech and Chong' adventures around the countryside freaking out the more sensitive citizens of the land.

I hear ya dude, and totally agree with you.
I consider myself a responsible smoker not only because I make a decent
living, but because I know that my weed smoking is only a recreational
activity. I don't let it consume my life.
I also have too much shit to do on a daily and weekly basis.
Don't get me wrong, I love weed. But I have goals, in order to achieve
these goals I know I have to get up everyday and go to work.

I believe marijuana smoking can be considered a serious drug.
Reason being; If your using a drug whether it's marijuana, alcohol, pills,
or whatever and it's consuming your life to the point where all you do
and think about is chimera. Then whatever your using is serious.
