So much awesome in this thread!

First off, I envy where you live. My sister is living on Maui and I relish every opportunity to visit and enjoy the beautiful land and sea. Bless!

Second, and sorry if I missed it, how did you go about wiring the Cob's, driver, and the fans? Are they all running off the same driver or is another driver/psu powering the fans? I'm only getting my feet wet with DIY LED's (and electronics to this degree in general) but I really like what you did with yours - simple, modular, compact, expandable, and powerful. I was looking into basically the exact same setup, but with 6 cob's spread across 2 36" heatsinks for a 4'x2' tent, eventually doubling when I get a 4x4 footprint to work with.

Thanks for stoppin in! Yes, I acknowledge how blessed I am every single day :) I love my home.

The cobs and fans are powered by two different sources. The driver for the 4 cobs sits outside the tent. The fan is powered by an adjustable voltage ac/dc adapter from radioshack. Cobs are wired in series, fans in parallel. I'm on my phone right now so it's hard to link stuff but youtube search growmau5 led for noobs. He took the knowledge of RIU DiY LED'ers and put it in badass video format for all of us to enjoy!

You are spot on with that configuration. I can look over your parts list if you'd like.

Aloha!

Actually I like the place where you are living...it would be impossible for me to live far from the sea...or an ocean!
My place is so cool in summer...but much less in winter!
People from north would laugh at us...when it start to be cold no one in the streets...it is a dead town...it is full of peoples in summer even too much peoples and during events but in a month its going to be ghost town! and it is 5/7ºC no less!
But you don't have this problem...how is it cold in winter?if you have a winter!?

Yes the ocean is a must! Locals here (including me!) get "cold" when it hits around 20* C lmao.
Rarely gets colder than that in my area during "winter", and I live right in tourist city, so there's people here from all over the world year round... When your town is empty they come to my town! Haha snowbirds

Awesome beginner grow! Maybe you grow better than me already
You da man bassman! I know I've got so much to learn, but I'm feelin pretty proud right now...

I harvested the CSSH on saturday! Her stems are still pliable as of tonight. Hanging in 75*f and 50% RH. Waiting for that little snap to take a sample and jar em/freeze em. I took her down because my stash is nearing empty and also because she was shooting a good amount of ambers throughout. Can't wait to manicure and make some canna-trim-coconut-oil. Excited to find out the weight also of course :D SMELLS GRRREEAAAAT!!!

Did some work today... Moved the clones from the cab into the tent with the Mt. Cooks. The Cooks will finish up within 2 weeks or so hopefully. At that point I will add a 10 gal smartie and flower out a GH Super Lemon Haze that was started from seed. I'll let the CSSH and Mt Cook clones go as long as needed, and at that point a second 10 gal smartie will be added. That pot will host a couple CSSH clones... :D

Here's a shot of the tent as of now-
20151223_132922.jpg
A little crowded but there's plenty of airflow and it's only temporary. One plant might go to a friend anyway. They don't look as great as they can but they're happy with the alfalfa/kelp tea I gave em recently. I plan on trying a guano tea next feeding, which will be soon. I have high N mexican bat guano as well as high p seabird guano. Gonna go with LC's recipe from ICMAG, but I'm open to suggestions as always!

So why did I move the girls out of the cab? Cuz this why-
20151223_210246.jpg

$9.00 2'x1' board on $12.00 100 lb heavy duty drawer slider things. Screen with ~2.5"x3.5" $2.00 hemp twine rectangles attached to $1.11 (x4) dowels from walmart. Secured with triple knots and electrical tape. Dowels are screwed into the board, with a set height of 7.5 inches above the soil level of two 3 gallon smarties. This cab is a shelf on the wall pretty much so I wanted to be able to just carry out the whole thing and move it down to ground level if I needed to. Also I can just slide it out a little to manage the screen and water easier.

In a couple days I will transplant a Samsara Holy Grail 69 (freebie) and a Strain Hunters Money Maker into the 3 gal smarties and introduce them to the screen. Pretty much same soil mix, blended with the used stuff from the CSSH. I'm excited to have an actual gameplan for canopy management!

Hope you're all doing well. Much much love!!

Breh thank you so much for answering my questions and letting me in on that video series. I had definitely visited his builds before but didn't know he uploaded those tutorials. I'm watching them now.

Yes you must be right!
Could make a smoke report on Cssh when it will be ready to smoke please!
I found this strain and i like to try it!
Looks very nice! (Cant remenber If you told me where you bought it!??)
I think you already know that all the seed bank do not provide the same seeds quality...and it is true...but it is possible to find a plant with a lot of qualities in a pack of cheap seed..this said I grew some "money maker"and i won't anymore (5 seeds...2 tall 1 normal and 2 short!) And not a really good taste (except maybe the "normal" one!)
Could you let us know if there is a difference in vegg speed between Mt Rainier and MMaker?

For sure I'll report on the smoke. I had a nice joint after it dried for 6 days and it was real nice! Heady high for sure, but I'll report fully after the cure. I got one seed as a freebie from Herbies.
Yes my money maker looks to be a finicky one... real sensitive compared to the other seeds I popped. We'll see how she likes the screen :D I got the mt cook's as clones and did not veg long, so I can't tell if it's faster than the m.m

The CSSH yielded 60 grams in a 3gal smartie of organic soil. 21" tall at finish, flower started ay 14". Seed sprouted on 9/4, 12-12 lighting started on 10/24, cut on 12/19. So 60/200g from 1/5 plants... I hope to hit 200g+ or 1g+ per watt.

30" x 16" x 48" chicken coop style drying cab. Sits a foot above the ground with screen on the bottom for airflow. It also features two screen windows on the left side of the cab- Additional airflow and preview cutouts. That side faces a shaded wall so no big deal. Two doors, two levels of hemp rope to hang from. 6 lines each level, totalling 12 lines. They're all full right now :D Spent a good 4 hours this morning cutting fan leaves, bud washing, hanging. Had a fat smile on my face the whole time!!

Cost me $5 in carboard and dowels. Had the screen, hemp line, and gorilla tape already. Not much on the outside but....

Some goodies inside!!
My goal is 140 grams outta these 4 mt cooks. That will give me ~1gpw. We shall see in a week or so.
Oh and this CSSH tastes like dank flavored candy in the vape!

Thanks! Camera phone flash. Not too shabby ah? :D

I knew this CSSH would be nice...it is the one who had very sharp leaves...it was looking like some kind of evil sword...lol!...nasty plant!
And now you smoke it...aloha!
CU
Oh yessss it is very nice! Very heady, I barely feel any body stone with it. Lasts long, and the taste is superb. The smell is my absolute favorite though. I'm not one for describing smells so all I can say is "sweet good dank" lol. I made some canna coconut oil out of the trim and made some cookies with it. Out of the dozen times I have attempted making edibles, this batch was by far the most effective!! I will definitely be keeping the genetics around for some time.

Thank you! It's a 720nm far red light bar. It basically helps the girls go to sleep faster and speeds up flowering time. You can read all about it here! - https://www.rollitup.org/t/the-far-red-thread.867665/
The white stuff on the soil I believe to be "Santa's Beard", a sign of healthy activity in an organic soil mix.

Tent as of now. 3-4 more weeks flowering for the mt cooks on the left, 2-3 for the CSSH on the right. Most of their lives were spent in 90*F as I discovered recently which is why they look a lil beat up.
20160105_175336.jpg 20160105_175344.jpg 20160108_113529.jpg
I made a louver for the bottom intake and put the duct snake on the top, right by the lights to bring in cool air. I also just received some bigger heatsinks to dissipate the heat better. Pretty much doubling the surface area...Also will be only running 10 veros instead of the 12. With the scrog screen only being 2x1 the extra 2 cobs aren't doing much for the canopy. Holy Grail on the left, Super Lemon Haze on the right. Just flipped the lights back 2 nights ago. Got some preflowers already :D

Life is beautiful man, I'm telling you!
Trimmed up the Mt. Cooks today, it was fun labor :D
It took a good week for the stems to snap in the new drying cab. 75*f and 50% RH. Perfect.
FINAL NUMBERS-
CSSH
: 60g choice, 9g popcorn
Cooks: 104g choice, 21g popcorn
Lights: 200 watts
Total: 164g / 200 watts = .82 grams per watt.

B-E-A-uuuuutiful for my first run ever :D Truly stoked! Such a cool thing to see grand plans unfold and come to life. I put countless hours into research and development, and my hard work has finally paid off. Couldn't have done it without all of you though friends, much much gratitude and respect for the community! <333

The popcorn will be ran through the bubble bags. The resulting kief will be made into hash oil capsules. The sugar leaf trim will be ran through the double boiler and processed into canna coconut oil cookies/brownies/banana nut muffins. The stems will be QWISO'd. Most of the buds will be cured in the hands of my patient. However I will be doing a freezer cure for half and a jar and burp cure for the other half. The freezer did a great job with the CSSH. I'm excited to see how the jar performs in comparison.

Speaking of CSSH....
That's a shot of one of the clones flowering right now. She's got just about 2 weeks left. I don't know if it' the additional SST's or the lighting spectrum or the lengthy exposure to high temps but the clones are noticeably frostier than her sisters before her. This perpetual harvest thing ain't so bad :D

Much much Love to all!
