Its funny how i just read 7 pages of replies, 98% of which are nearly identical in nature, to the overwhelming public response to homosexuality only 7 to 12 years ago, containing illogical emotional hatred at the mear though of facing a conversation involving the subject. Despite our current understanding of the distinct difference in the nature of the 2 concepts, the fact they have been so closely linked in history until recently, i find this a frighting similarity. And certainly hope we hold our convictions about child molestation better then we have about most other subjects.
While this would be unsurprising were i sitting around the barn with old timers from way back in the hills, i, however, find it pretty ironic in present company.

Can we agree the line must be drawn somewhere? where would prefer and why?
Personally i feel the majority of our current society would not be judged "adults" even at 18 by the writers of the said laws. And personally, i knew very few people at age 18 that fully understood and accepted responsibility for their actions, myself included.
