Read an article on therealseedcompany, where they take dried cola buds and wrap them up with corn cob husks for curing and storage. No burping jars for them. Lol I got 2 jack herer ( not pure sativa) going and about a month away from harvest. They really just grew themselves, didn’t fuss over them much and virtually no defoliation. Honestly theses 2 look like the best I’ve grown. They are the third crop.
Back when seed was free, all weed got you high, and people went outside, you learnt a lot more. Now every seed is like a $10 lotto ticket, no wonder those who started indoors think every solution costs a bill and has a barcode, they never had freedom to experiment... Who taught me what a male was? My seeded females did. Who taught me you don't need fucking super juice to grow plants? Growing literally everywhere outdoors and understanding the difference between good and bad soil.. Not many Americans have that opportunity anymore.
Cool. I've grown it. Turned out really good. I still have a pack of seeds. I recently grew some Mama Thai from Seedsman. It's turned out good as well.
No pure sativas that I ever herd of would be done in 60. 72 is a stretch even. Maybe Durban would be one of the quicker ones.
How these girls looking these days? Just curious... I'm nine weeks in on my girls, they look to have a couple more to go at least...I know these look like crap. Damn sativa's are finicky and these have been crammed to the back of the tent and neglected. Oldtimers Haze from ACE Seeds. And they've been in flower for three months! And another two to go. The smoke better be damn good. I wish I had the climate to grow these outdoors but there is no way they would finish. They sure are a bitch inside a tent. Maybe one scrogged but the flowering time is insane. 16 - 24 weeks. I remember that line "Patience Grasshopper". I"m running out of patience. I don't know what I was thinking when I started these. But I'm glad I did. The one on the right has a couple branches loaded with seeds. The males are long gone but their offspring will live on for years.
I just sprouted Wild Thai from WOS. Hoping for the best. Also have 2046 from Medical Seeds that I’ll do next. It’s Neville’s Haze x Cali Mist. Sound promising anyway.
It is a slow grower to start out but mine is really surprising me so far, smells and looks great! It's on day 73 not including the first week after flip, I'll try to post a picture soon.
Have they ever existed? I read somewhere that all “pure” sativas were actually imported indicas that, over hundreds of generations, adapted to equatorial cilmates and mutated into what we now know as sativas.
Sounds so much like my indoor grow of Ace Ethiopian, only yours looks better. Like you I'm happy I did it though. The cross did better. This is Candida x Ethiopian. 90% sativa x 100% 95% sativa I guess. Not meant to be strong but high CBD. It's not of growing but it's the only semi decent pic I have. My Wild Thai smelled like pickles to me once cured. How's yours smell?
