Just what I saw here on RIU from your Dynasty and Prof P orders must have cost a small fortune.i just started a year ago and i dont even want to say how many packs I've accumulated in a year
I been trying my hardest to not buy seeds for the last month but fell off the wagon a few days ago when i saw a BOGO sale
I have a full padded envelope, like a large padded mailer stuffed with seeds in the veggie crisper, but nothing too extravagant, just like a few thousand or so. I try to grow the stuff I got on purpose at least once, but I have grown some good freebies in the past, before I was relatively seed rich and had more choices.
All freebies not being equal; I am currently hunting through a freebie tester pack of Sin City’s Sin Mint Cookies x Romulan Grapefruit, some straight crazy stem rub smells coming off the seedlings.

When people save money you call them wise and smart.
But when i buy another pack of seeds on top of the 653 other packs i'm addicted and hoarding?

Okay, come on...My lead sentence was most assuredly a joke. I don’t mean to say you are an addict. Perhaps a zealot I agree with, but I am not guessing either way.

This is just a list of gear that I have acquired over the past year, I did not make any of these.

Here's why people get too many seeds; they love to smoke/grow pot and don't want to run out of seeds. This ends up snowballing into the "i have way more seeds than i need" because how many people actually sit down and figure out what the "right" amount of seeds is...that being said/ I have way too many fucking seeds lol. At least 2 lifetimes worth.

That's not why I have too many seeds... I'm not at all worried about running out, I can always make more...
I just haven't found my favorite weed yet, and I'm gonna keep popping and chucking till I do

Thats the whole thing. You want the variety so you can try everything and then when you do find one that is a "Top 5 of all time", you want to be sure to at least have a 6 pack of them so you can grow it several more times.

I hoard just incase think of all the good lines that are dead or lost/ruined over the years il proly grow out half my collection if im lucky but its more the loss potential and of course obviously who dont like trying new strains or enjoying the classic strains you love and who dont love just growing for growings sake im sure lots of people hoard seeds for different reasons but those are mine

Thats a big thing for me.... the immediate obsolescence of everything. You get great breeders that put out amazing genetics but by the time you buy the seeds, grow them, harvest them, and test them for a few months, you cant buy the seeds anymore. Like, find me some of Archive's original Dosi. Or any of his first 50 crosses for that matter. Or to take it a step farther, sure he might be doing Moonbow 75 crosses for years to come, but will he ever do another "Moon Boots, Light Speed, or Rose Gold" again? Rose gold is the best cross I have ever grown but the "bag appeal" is really bad. Its got a lot of dark orange color to it. Almost brown but not. The smell/taste though- Amazing pineapple mango berry with just the right amount of funk. Off the charts when it comes to density. He didnt re-release that cross in the last drop and I doubt he ever will. It is even advertised as ideal for rosin; So ugly you have to smash it. But I couldn't care less what it looks like. I only want to grow 4 plants a year.
