Honesty is the best policy lmao, naw but really appreciate your input on the run.is it the first run of this strain or is she normally kinda low yielding? Sure looked like more than that in the preharvest pics.
I ran grapestomper for a year, bitch was always light, like .4-.5 gpw maybe but the smoke was bombdizzle And i had a real hard time getting rid of her lol.

Ok, harvest report time
If I counted that big ass pile of sugar-larf trim as we all know most are doing I am sure I would be at 1.5 g/w
Now the reality, 141W of vero on this run yielded me 2.10 oz or 59.6g of somewhat budish material - .42 g/w
I know there is room for improvement all around and will be playing with these cobs some more :hump:

Good of you to post bag weight separately. That's seams to be a big problem around here. It throws people off by allot.
I'm not as much of a loli-popper as I should be most times. But I do not post popcorn as my dry weight.
Kind've messed me up on my first SunCloak run cuz it yielded way more then what I posted. And the small buds were all dense & usable. But I didn't want to hand trim all that shit, so it went in the oil bucket & didn't get submitted as dry weight. It wasn't really fair to SC cuz the GPW would've been around 1.26 instead of the .75 I posted. Anyone (like commercial growers) w/ a trim machine would've kept all that lil bud for the bag. But we did not have the pacients to trim it.
You'll be doing another cob run soon? Will you be shooting for a higher PPFD? I think you should cuz that will really tell you what to expect from cobs IMO.
Good job!

Interesting grow, thanks for sharing it. Vero 18's work, I've used them before, I'll use them again.

I once ran a single plant under 4 Vero 18's in approximately a 2x2(x6) (a half closet, was about 22" x 28"). The lights were a pair of Optic 120's, so they ran pretty hot. I'm not sure if the "120" is an "at the wall" reference, or if they are actually running each 18 at 60w, but I was running about 240w +/- in the same space. I ran them with the lenses off for veg, and on for flower, and I grew one Alien OG in soil (I don't recall if it was 7 or 10 gallons). I ended out with 120g, or about .5 g/w. Wasn't a record breaker but I was happy with it at the time. So much of it has to do with genetics, obviously, but worth repeating. I found some old pics... ended with some pretty fall colors.

Is that a lil seedling popping I see?
I need to get seeds & have my own plants from day 1. Own them n know them.
Staying @ 141 watts?
I think you should double that once you hit flower. Then you'll know what cobs can do.
Hmmhmm, Johnson Cx-4, hint, hint! Lol!

My firm belief is still that if led can't do the job for less watts there is no point to using them.
I am at 42W a sq ft from the wall in my 22"x22" tent should be plenty according to all the hype floating around so I am going to just keep working it ans see what I can bring out of these little Vero's in my garden :hump:

That hype isn't small cobs running at 40% efficiency and an 87% efficient power supply. Devil is in the details.

.4 * .87 = 34.8% efficiency, so basically you've matched a good HPS with your build, and done it at only 141W. An HPS bulb would suck at that wattage, and this is where even relatively inefficient LED builds really shine. I think it's great what you are doing.

BUT(!) most builds around here would put out 50% more light per watt than this one, and since you are using grams/W as a metric of success, that's something to keep in mind. If you match your HPS numbers with this build, consider it a complete success, because that's the light you've built.

Also a very good point!

You should be able to get some better gpw numbers of those veros if you keep playing around. Maybe it's strain and grow style dependent, but I hit around 1.3 gpw with 6 of the vero 18's, 4000k mix of 80 & 90 cri running three different strains in 1.5 gal smart pots. I had better overall results with the veros than when I was running my 400w hps. Probably due to more even light distribution and the ability to keep the Les closer than the hps without bleaching. Keep plaYing with the veros and hopefully you'll get some better numbers!

That's the problem when the previous crop is around to be sampled... the little ones get forgotten in the excitement...
Waiting to see where this one grows...
