Hey I have a 600 watt hps n a closet grow whole closet is 4x4x7 but my flower area is only 4x2x5 the 600 watt is in my flower area right now I run it at 75 percent which would be 450 watt iv had it for a couple weeks and my plants are showing signs of light bleeching so I moved the light as high as it could go next week I'm getting a carbon filter and i want to completley seal off my light from my grow room taking cool air in from outside the room threw the light and then threw the carbon filter out of the room and then have the room sealed and start using a co2 bag called exhale I have a couple questions question 1 will having a co2 bag in the room help stop the light bleeching? I want to run my light at 100 percent and question 2 will having my carbon filter hooked up to my light even work if its sealed off from the room? It will still be in the general closet any input will be much appreciated

What is 75%??, 18/6..
Answers;
1 = NO
2 = NO..what is the point?

Its very rare to hear of light bleaching...and in all honesty..I think it is Bullshit. If the light is to close the leaves will curl up to save moisture..if to far away...they basically will grow super slow or stretch.....but light bleaching?...are you sure it is not the PH?

And honestly..650W is not enopugh to "Bleach a plant" in my experience.

well.. you can bleach with a 600w... I had mine too close to the tops and had to back off... the tops the leaves will show a bright yellow which is not the normal yellowing from a deficiency... so yes you can get too much lumens... look at the charts and see optimal distances to be from the light depending on wattage.

I have a 600 watt hps in a cooled reflector.
I had some trouble with the middle branches getting bleached even when the light was over a foot above the tops.
I just bought a light diffuser/spreader. I haven't tried it yet, I am 5-10 days away from using the hps.

it looks like this:
