if that a cfl with a build in reflector, then yes you can use it but it will not be better than what you have because its only 18w.

Those are expensive ass bulbs. I just checked at Wallyworld yesterday for some of those (not for my grow, for my kitchen). You can but a regular halogen bulb or whatever they are, I just know them by their shape, and get a whole 4 pack of 'em for the same price that you would pay for ONE of those CFL bulbs shaped like that. Both packages were the same price - 11.96 - One CFL bulb for 11.96 or 4 regular ones for the same price!

wat are you growing , daisys lol ???? your cfl's are only good for cuttings and as for that other thing hmmmmmmmmmmm............Heyyyy...i was wondering if this type of bulb would be better to use than my 75w cfl grow tube and a 40w cfl and my 100w clf? its a 18w 2800k.. thanks in advance!

Maybe he is rooting cuttings or seedlings, but you can vegg with cfl's.
AND as the op said, It is a CFL!
lol no im in the 3rd week ishh of veging but my plant is really really small for 3 weeks and i dont have any money just yet so i am trying to find what i am going to need once i get paid lol so if anyone would let me no what kind of bulbs and where to get them...keep in mind im BROKE hahah..thanks in advance!!

I'd recommend some thrift stores like GoodWill or Deseret Industries. They have some good stuff sometimes for a set-up that is cost effective. Also you can buy 100 W CFL's at Wal-mart for $1.00 each. You can get daytime or soft white there. You'll need both. You can get some power strips, I think 2 in a pack for around $5 and then get some outlet to socket adapters. Those will be about $2-3 each. Also get a fan for about $10.00. You'll need one to harden-off your plants.
you want more light for cheap?
get two clamp lights from walmart - 12 bux
get a two pack 26 watt daylight CFL, another two pack 26 watt soft white CFL - around 8 bux
go to lowes or home depot, get the Y splitters, that make one socket into two... around 5 bux
put the Y splitter in each clamp light and1 daylight & one softwhite on each Y splitter...
that's more light with 25 bux....

just get a couple more cfls, your plant looks ok though
alight good shit lol i will get the lights this friday i already have a small lil fan behind my plant i also got a bathroom fan to suck out the air.. Thanks to you all for the help!!
