light cycles???

my plants were outdoor for a while and started to bud but the plants looked really small so i brought them inside and put them on 18 light and 6 dark but about 90 pecent of the hairs are orange and my plants are lookin real sad, would the light cycles be causing the poor health or would it be the intense heat?

at a guess (im not the most experienced ) it will be too late to move them back into a vegi state i would just give them a little bloom feed and whack them on a 12 12 i think 75-80 f is good so if its more than that then watch out.

i would just hope for some bigger buds

Moving plants from outside is the tough part. Yes, the intense heat will kill them if not corrected, and trying to revert them to vegitative state will shock them for a couple of weeks, but the lack of light is what will make them most unhealthy. They were outdoors under the brightest light we have, and when they started to flower you put them under whatever little light that you have inside.

I'd say that the pistils are withered because of the heat, and unless you really give them some TLC and a lot of time to recover, they will not produce much more bud. Look for new growth, like white hairs or new leaves.

well i do see new growths, leaves. and the hairs were orange before i moved them inside. but all i can do about the heat is crack the door... untill payday at least.

After being outdoors, where they have constant fresh air, and good light, now you're trying to kill them with intense heat, no fresh air, and little light.

What did she ever do to you? :-)

It's only for you to judge, but it sounds like you are close to harvest, and if you can't give her what she needs, then finish it, and enjoy what you take.

id just leave them outside. as long as it stays above 60 youy should be fine. but if the hairs are mostly orange then its time to harvest

really i can harvest? time to cut dry n smoke?!!! im so excited, the plant is only about a foot and quite gaunt tho

thank you im gonna harvest tonite this will be my first harvest i cant wait to smoke it. should i line the walls with aluminum foil for my next batch? or another cheap alternative,...i live week to week

you can get a roll of this reflective material, i forget what its called, but its better than mylar. i think its only like $35 for a HUGE roll of it. but aluminum foil works just fine, just be dure to keep the dull side out. the shiny side can make pinpoints and burn the plants

you dont have to switch. some people do 18/6 to save energy, and some people believe that plants only use 18 hours of light anyway. if youre vegging with fluoros id just leave them at 24 hours of light until youre ready for flowering

i could care less about electricity im just worried about the lighting i dont think i have enough light, i only have a cone 65 watt spot and a regular 60 watt spot gro k-mart bulbs, im not sure if they are strong enough, and if they are how should i place them-ex.. an inch from the plants...etc...i had them about 5 inches from the plant and it looked real sad

yeah like i saw a post on here onetime about a "145 watt equivalent 50 watt compact flore. full spectrum for 10$ at home depot that works rite? and how do i position it(as many as i need, you tell me) on the 20 seedlings i have in my 4 - 3 - 8 closetrite now i have a long flore. shoplight over my seedlings
