Light Cycles

I am just a couple weeks away from kicking off my grow and I was looking for some advice on my lighting cycle.

Should I run my lights during the day time eg. 4am-10pm or 4pm to 10am?
The same question would apply for the flowering stage 4am to 4pm or 4pm to 4am?

Thanks

unless you've got like leaks from outside it doesn't matter.
I did night lights on at night as it's cooler and nosey neighbors won't see my electric meter zoomiing along when I was at work.

Alright...Light leakage is not a real big issue... I have been checking all around my room... My set up is kinda cool, My in-laws let me use the garage... I live in moderate climate and the garage never gets below 65 but thats empty. I figure with my plants and lights it should be nice, around 70-75 once i spray foam and seal the garage door...thats the last step. So no one can see lighting no mater what time of day or night...plus no one has a way to see my meter unless they are standing in the back yard, which wont happen. I will be posting pics of my operation shortly, once my girls get here from my buddy(fellow grower supplying clones). Pretty nice set up though 3 rooms built with ply wood and drywall all within the garage. Stay tuned and thanks for the advice!!!!

Set it for your schedule unless it's much warmer during the day and you're worried about heat problems or as frmboi said, if you have light leaks that might be noticeable at night. The plants only care about the photoperiod.

I found that planning the lights around YOUR schedule will help you out a bunch...this way you can do your thing with them when you're at home.

Have to agree to fit your grow into your schedule if possible. Another consideration depending on the type of lights you are running would be your electric rates. Lots of places have peak and off peak rates, with the off peak usually being in the late evening to early morning. I don't know if this matters to you but might be worth some consideration.
Good Luck
