Light Dep Homedepot 3.5 mil Black Plastic?

Anyone use the Homedepot Brand 3.5 mil black plastic to light dep?
I just installed some over my smaller greenhouse and when I went in I notice a small amount of light coming through the black plastic? Under neath the black plastic I do have black shade cloth.So i'm thinking the black plastic plus the shade cloth under neath should be enough.

Cool, Thanks guys! Well I guess here we go day 1 of light dep with about 20 plants.
Strains are:
Da Purps
Chronic Thunder
Jilly Bean
Cherry Bomb

Best of luck.....but the days are short enough right now you don't really need to cover them, they will flower. It's near the end of the flower cycle in 2 months that you will need to cover...

That's what I was thinking to after looking at my sunrise sunset app. So around mid May or Beginning of May I should start covering?

not going to work if you get "full sun" i have used it as have many others with poor results...but doubleing it up OR attaching it to a more durable tarp underneath works well .... 3.5 gets shredded quick as well ... good luck this season ...

Is that better, or just straight up using panda plastic and gorilla taping it on both sides of the seems?

done the white side out plastic as well 6 mil . it works but gets brittle in the cold am temps . in the end it is best to use the product desinged for the application . http://foreverflowering.net/black-fabric/

Thanks buddy. Been looking at that stuff. It's expensive, but guess I just need to bite the bullet lol.

the svennennson "triple obscura " looks just as good ... imo the white on the outside 6mil plastic with a tarp works good enough for a season or 2 BUT the cloth breaths .......

For The Win!!! Dep time 7am - 7pm
Plastic goes over @ 6:55pm until the sun goes down.. And than it Is Removed, and than repeated the next day @ 6:55pm

I used 6 mil panda plastic and doubled it up. White on one side & black on the other. Works great

I used this on my 7ft x 7ft x 20ft greenhouse. The plastic is 24ft x 100ft. I cut it in half and now I'll have a fresh cover for next season. It worked great though for my first light dep. Total blackout. Only start getting little holes on the bottom from me walking on it
