Light Dep/ Hoop House No Power

So i’ve asked this before and gotten some replies and those have helped. But have some more questions and can’t find my old threads.

But i have a .. 10x 20 PVC hoop house, with no door.

I also have no electricity up there, could potentially run a electricty cord but ehh.

Are solar panels somewhat cheap to power like less than 500 watts?

I’d like to know how i A. Could enclose it so i can start plants soon in there, but would need fans and exhaust and inline fans.?

Those are relatively low wattage, could attempt to run a cord up there. Would like a light too for the early stages but that would
be pushing it.

I’m in Vermont so still cold for another month but would like to get seedlings outside in a month or so.

How would I go about adding a door?

Same questions would apply to
light dep, since that needs lots of air flow and ventilation which equals power.

Or are their non electricty versions i’m not thinking about?

I think i’ve got the physical light dep method down I’ll do but if anyone can help those Qs would be rad

Looks like you are ok without the fans. You should only need the hoop house if the temps are too cool for a few days early and late in the season. You could get 2 or 3 harvest per year using the light deprivation method. Just make sure you are there like clock work every morning and afternoon. I would leave the one end open that is facing north. Good Luck.

But for my light dep. When it’s covered with light dep tarp it’ll have no airflow..So it’ll need exhaust and fresh air and fans during that period?

I’m assuming you don’t, since i’ve seen your ish. But you don’t have issues with PM and bud rot? Or just regular preventive measures?

cause you grow some trees, just surprised you can get away with no fans and be fine. Which is music to my ears

We have high tunnel greenhouses and I believe the extra height gives us more room for air flow. One of the crew must wake up at 4am to cover the greenhouse but the early morning hrs are the coolest and the heat would be much higher if we covered in the afternoon.
 
This was last years light dep. No fans. No clear plastic just tarp. Open at 7am close at 7pm. I would sometimes open them up at night and cover at 5am, emphasis on sometimes. But 5am kinda early for me.

Zero PM, zero bud rot. I do preventative treatments with neem oil, build up the azithrodactin in veg and in my full term outs have good results keeping PM down. The tarps were perfect umbrellas for rainy days in late August. Just opend them up on ends at up to the purlins, the cross members.

Im using clear plastic this year for first run starting april 1. It will be cold till Mid may. I will take it off for second run and back on for a greenhouse full termish 3rd run but likely with ends off. Not gonna pull tarp for last run gonna be SOG, 20190818_174742.jpg20190824_094724.jpg20190621_103448.jpgclones. But will have two fans running when plastic is on for first run.

I currently have a small pop up greehouse with t5s that has my first run hardening off a bit. I bring em out in full sun, weather permitting.
