Light Fell on Plant

My light fell on my plant today. :( This is the second time it has happened in a month! The top bent, it is very strong, but now i had to move the light to make the plant bend towards the light, correcting itself from the bend. So now it is almost straight again, but i hope this did not hurt/delay the flowering process!

2 times in one month? maybe you just need to hang the damn thing properly and be careful when adjusting it ?

I feel you man, its happend to me so many times for stupid reasons, I've had to prune burnt leaves off and its delayed my plant a couple of weeks at least... sucks hardcore.

I have nothing to hang it on! I am using a jimmy-rigged set up and its bullshit. I live in a rented townhouse and do not want to drill in the ceiling. Nor do I have the tools for that.

what about making a frame out of wood or something you can put in the grow space ? that would do fine.

Yeah, I'm actually about to run to the store and pick up a timer, (manually turning off lights) and possibly look into some sort of reliable set up for my lights. I am using the light holder from walmart that has a round cylindrical metal reflector and has clamps.

Dude, your not the 1st guy who's had shit fall & mess their game plan up,ive had all kinds of shit happen but........................

Here's the deal,so much shit goes wrong by accident in a properly set up room with every possible precaution taken to gaurd against mishaps, can you really afford to keep fukin around with that light?,living in a townhouse is understandable but damm, were only talking about 1 hole here not a remodel job, & you dont even need tools.

All you need to do is go to the hardware & buy a clothes line hook with a self tapping (pointed) end, then buy 10 ft length of chain & a couple of S hooks, mark the spot on the ceiling for the hook then take a hammer & nail & lightly drive the nail in to start a hole, pull out the nail & screw in the hook till it bottoms out,no more light collapsing after that.

If/when you move you can patch the hole with toothpaste then rub a little paint over it.

depends on how heavy the light is. youll probably wanna find a stud first. i would anyway. drywall is shit

i feel ya...it's hard tryin' to grow when ur broke. i'd say just use a stud finder and then rig up a pulley system which u could do for about $15 at any hardware store

FYI, My lights fell on my plants and snapped the stems,i tied it upright to a small stick and within 1 week (maybe 2, can remember lol) it had repaired itself and had gotten stronger where the break was......Sometimes a little tough love is a good thing
