Light Fixtures....

:hump::hump:ok so im looking for any light fixture that I can get from a local hardware/ gardening store. I want to grow 2-3 plants and i am willing to spend up to 100$. I also want the fixture to be somewhat small. Whatever i get i dont want to buy online

why not online? Check out home depot for the 150w hps, that would probably do two and cost you abou 80smackers

But go for a few CFLs. Then once ready for flowering (about 2 months) spring for a small 100-250W HPS for low budget. 400W+ for full deal.

A couple of clamp lights and 'Y' adapters then some CFL's plugged into them should work well for veggin. Flowering is a whole other story from what I've read. Some have done quite well on CFLs. I am skeptical.

what local hardware stores carry hps bulbs and ballast? that i can plug into the wall?

It should. The hardware store is meant for the home guy. (unless yo are living in the sticks) Just look at eh box/specs or ask. It should say 120VAC. If the guy gives you a funny look just say it for above your garage. If you still look like a kid, say its for your boss's place.
