Hey guys.

I had my mind set for the MarsHydro 192x5 reflector light. Now I start reading about all these new lights with white leds and what not.

Im not sure my budget would allow these expensive CREE leds, I was thinking $3-400.

As title says, 60x60x140cm space, 16 plants SOG 12/12 from seed. Any advise?

DIY is pretty easy...

Your space is pretty damn small at about 2'x2'x4.5'.

You may want to consider a SCROG instead of a SOG, or at least use clones instead of seeds and drop to 12 plants at absolute most, I would go with SCROG and one plant myself.

In that space you would only want about 200w of Cree LEDs or 300w of cheap LEDs, or a 250w HPS.

Thanks. I'll just try sog first and im eventually going to make my own seeds.

I have a 300w marshydro 1st gen led panel, but the coverage is pretty poor so I got adviced the reflector panel from marshydro girl in skype.

Reason for clones over seeds in SOG is for uniformity. You need them to grow at the same rate and to the same size, and in popsicle formation. It's far easier to do this with clones of the same plant, even seeds of the same strain will vary a lot.

Make sure the watts you look at are the real watts used, not the total rating of all the led chips.

I read a bunch of DIY cob panel threads and came up with all this.

6x Cree CXA3070 3000k 74-117w
6x 100w Constant drivers
Output Voltage: DC30-36V
Current: 3000mA
6x cpu heatsinks with 12v fans
6x 92MM cob reflectors
1x 12v 10A PSU (for fans)

All for $420 with shipping.
You think these parts will work?
