Hi Guys,
I am in the market for a new Grow light. I know I have been asking too many questions lately but nobody to talk to around here and I am trying to improve each time.
Been looking at the 600watt Digital Greenhouse but then after searching around I found a lot of bad things. Or maybe thats all I read.
Also My room is about 5 by 3 should i stick with 400 or go for the 600?
Which ballast do you guys like and where to get from?

Go with the 600 bigger is always better.But check out ebay,craigslist orhtgsupply.com they got a complete 600 setup for only 200

thats where I have been looking htg. They have the 600 digital greenhouse thats looking like its going to be coming home.

They claim their bulb is rated for a digital ballast, but it isn't
digital ballasts run at 22 Khz, (22,000 Hz) while this HPS bulb they give
you with it runs a 60 Hz... They can advertise this because
the ballast can still run that bulb, but the bulb they give you
will have a very short life...

It's a waste of time to have a duel light set up unless you do single grow's. I never have time to use the mh. I want to go with a 600w hps and put the 400 back in veg. "mh"

so which bulb should I get with this ballast?
or should I get a different ballast?
I only do single grows so the interchangeable is what i need.
I have been doing with just HPS in the past but wanted to try MH for veg.

If you have hps just get a mh ballast? Sorry someone else needs to give advice on what bulbs to use. I just started a mh veg first in awhile.

problem is the hps I am using its a really old parking garage light about 14+ years old. So I wanted to get something newer safer and more energy efficient.

Use sunpulse bulbs, they are the only bulbs rated for digital ballasts, and you
can use one bulb all the way through the grow, check out the selection
SunPulse Lamps these are a major
break through in light radiation, the first "digital bulbs" specifically formulated
for plants and other living things.

I am completely hooked on CMH bulbs for 250 and 400w HPS magnetic systems. My current veg area 2'x3' has a 400w 4000k CMH over it, and my plants are vibrent green with almost no stretching what so ever. I also have some garlic, lettuce, and tomato seedlings under the 18/6 CMH.

I will be completing a 2' x 4' flowering area that will use two 400w CMH's on 12/12. I will have no need to suppliment with any CFLs or UV, I honestly believe the CMH will be enough. I'm using SOG, and gearing up for 2 week harvest cycles. Quality over quantity is my motto, so that is why I chose the CMH.

Looking like im going to be going with a magnetic ballast.
Where can i get a nice magnetic 600watt combo? i was thinking 1000 might be too much for power and heat signature?
