the less light the better. Yes the moon shines...but its not near the intensity if a light bulbIts just optimum to have complete dark periods. In the wilderness the moon reflects an acceptable light by the plant that doesnt disrupt its natural flowering process. Indoors a lit light bulb or a leak coming from a cfl hardly replicates the slight hew of the moon. So i would seal up your flowering room if you can. Green light emmits the acceptable light for plants during the dark pd indoors, maybe it is relative to the same effect on the plant as the moon has, I really dont know....GL
the amount of light comming in is liken to very very subtle moonlight. Thats the only way I can describe it. On the mylar I see it's lit up just a bit, but its not reall reflecting to make light in the room. I dunno hard scenario to describe. As long as a little light getting in isnt going to screw thing sup im good to go.the less light the better. Yes the moon shines...but its not near the intensity if a light bulb
Good! Then you got to the bottom of it! Just a suggestion... as to your 12/12 hour regimen... Do you live in an area where you are going to get a wicked hot summer? If you are, like we are, in an area where there's been heat waves and generally hot and humid summers, I suggest you reverse your schedule and have your lights go OFF at 7am and ON at 7pm. This will have your lights on at night when it's cool and off during the day when it's the hottest. This will reduce heat stress dramatically. Best of Luck man! We just put our girls into flowering 9 days ago so we are almost at the same point. Keep me posted!I discovered a leak in my veg room that is barely making it into the flowering room. As stated I think I'm fine but I'll fix that up tommorrow and that should fix my problem even more.
I find it amazing that light can travel in wave or partical form. It's like tiny particles are "smart" and can find anyway into a room that is available. Amazing but the lil buggers need to stay out of my flowering room
Yeah I am in a hot climate, the plants are indoors and it doesnt get too hot in there even in the 100+ and I did consider 7pm-7am cycle. I may go for that, I was thinking in terms of the most darkness in my schedule so i did lights out at night. Would it mess them up to switch the cycle now, only about 1.5 days in flower now anyway.Good! Then you got to the bottom of it! Just a suggestion... as to your 12/12 hour regimen... haha good ole duct tape! See what I have is a "flap" which is the front door of my tent. It really won't close perfectly so I do duct tape it shut which helps. I have to fix the light leaking out of my veg room and should be 100% ok cause its pitch black in there without the veg lights (also in their own tent).plain and simple man .....try and avoid light during off time ...if you gots spots here n there ...patch em up with some duct tape.........
Thanks! I don't think it would mess you up. I would get more opinions on that tho don't just take my word for it. But, I'm assuming that as long as you stay 12/12 you should be fine. I signed up for rollitup after I started this first grow so this time I don't have a journal. I'll send ya a few pics in your message box so i'm not changing your topic here on this thread! Best of luck. OH! You should try making homemade CO2. We just made a jug lastnight. You take an empty gallon jug and fill it halfway with distilled or ph balanced water, add about 5 - 6 cups of sugar, 2 tablespoons of Active Dry Yeast and put it all in the jug. Make sure you have a cap that fits and make a hole about the size of a pencil in the center. Put the cap back on the jug. Put the jug somewhere above your plants so it can "fall" down on them. CO2 is heavier than Oxygen so it needs to be above them. Turn off all your fans for about an hour when you do this. All you do is shake up the jug a few times a day and make sure your fans are all off when you do this. Change out the jug and make a new mixture every 2 weeks. This will give them the CO2 they need and help with heat stress.Yeah I am in a hot climate, the plants are indoors and it doesnt get too hot in there even in the 100+ and I did consider 7pm-7am cycle. Check my grow journal I'll keep updates on there! You have one? I'd liek to check it out! Also, grats on the girls
Yeah I read a post about that once. I couldn't find the post but now I dont have to lol! ThanksThanks! I don't think it would mess you up.
