Light levels on HPS wavering?

Hi RIU!

I have a question I have been unable to find an answer to. I run a 600 watt HPS for my flowering cycle, and have noticed lately that the brightness tends to waver a lot. I replace bulbs about once every 6 months to a year, but was wondering if this sounds like my ballast is going bad, or just a normal function I hadn't noticed until recently. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

How are you measuring your brightness or lack there of?

I can visually see the light wavering. I have never bought a light meter, because my grows and output have been fairly consistent over the last few years. I usually see a small dip in yield when my bulbs get old, but a new one usually fixes the issue.

What kind of ballast are you using? Maybe it's time for an upgrade.

It's the Galaxy adjustable digital that has 400, 600, or 750 turbo setting on it. I only see the 600, 750, and 1000 adjustable online now though. So it may be discontinued.
