Light movers/ nutrients

Two questions for anyone that can answer:
1. How long of a stretch can 2 1000watts go on a light mover before they dont do as good for the plants than if they were to stay stationary?

2. Does anyone use General Hydroponics solutions? What do you mix for each level of growth? The instructions on the bottles are pretty good, just wondering if anyone has a better way to mix than is listed???

I don't know about light movers ... but here's the ratios for GH nutes:

The "Lucas" formula eliminates the "Grow" solution and saves you a lot of money. Here's the ratio:

Vegging: 0-5-10.

Flowering: 0-8-16.

Vegging: Zero "Grow (green). 5ml per gallon of "Micro" (brown). 10ml per gallon of "Bloom" (red).

Flowering: Zero "Grow" (green). 8ml per gallon of "Micro" (brown). 16ml per gallon of "Bloom" (red).

I used this formula for many years with good success. You may have to add a quarter teaspoon per gallon of Epsom Salts during flowering if you leaves start to yellow.

I do know of another person who uses the 0-8-16 ratio for both vegging and flowering with no adverse effects.

Good luck ...

on the light movers subject i would try and keep at no more than 3 feet away from tops or sides with those 1000 watters .

Hey bigwilly98, I guess it would depend on your setup. Yes they do work with larger plants. I believe you can get the light closer to the canopy because of the movement, and less stretching due to the fact youve unshaded more parts of the plant. Typical light movers are 6' long. 1000 watters in air cooled hoods, on a mover, eight inches above plants. It's feasible, and done daily.

I hope this helps you.
Peace
