Light on or light off seed

I put my seed in a bag it made a taproot and I transferred it too soil.
Do you guys leave lights off or turn them on right away for the seed to germinate ?

You can leave them off if she hasn't broken ground, although a little heat and light helps beg that plant up out of the soil. Honestly, either way will work. A window sill will work just as well. Good luck.

No need for light unless you're using it for heat.

Okay thanks for the responses. I hear most people leave the lights off my seed has been in soil for a little over 24 hours with no light no sign of life yet
