I'm building a small grow. only 26 inches high. should my CFL lights go vertical or horizantal? I can do either but horizantal would give me a litte more head room.

Thanks for your advice.

i would go horizontal and keep them close about 3 inch's away and try to get those huge cfl's that are like 8 inch's long i got mine at home depo for 16 dollars and thay work great thats if you have a home depo were you live good look

The most light from a CFL comes from the sides not the tips so horizontal is optimal. I use socket spliters so they are at a 45 degree angle.
