Cannabis is a C3 plant.Autoflower is a C4 plant and does not require darkness like a photoperiod does. Photoperiod is a C3 plant.
The more light you give it the more bud you will get.

Auto's and photo period plants are the same plant with the exception of the added Ruderals gene bred in to trigger budding without a light cycle change. Important things happen to plants during their dark period and as such should be provided. Both are C3 plants.Autoflower is a C4 plant and does not require darkness like a photoperiod does. I learned something. Thanks. I need to find the article where I read this...I probably misread, or misunderstood it.Auto's and photo period plants are the same plant with the exception of the added Ruderals gene bred in to trigger budding without a light cycle change. No worries bud.I learned something. Thanks. I need to find the article where I read this...I probably misread, or misunderstood it.
135 watt HLG Quantum Board.what kinda light may i ask???
looks like your lady on the right attempted to reveg or something of the sorts. are they DWC or do you just have em in a tote seperated?Had these two in veg for 7 weeks nothin was happening except swelling bigger so i flipped and kept them on 12/12
they were the both the same seed yet two different plants towards the end the stump you see on the right was not finishing properly looked like the tops were dying out so it got the chop was getting low on supplies anyway.
the other View attachment 4776543have opened her up to finish of and given a bit of a trim
Gave up counting with 80+ heads not that big but she only had 12/12 which have been told affects the yield
But hey if i get 2 grams per stem its 160 grams LOL
they were supposed to be both super skunk autos from seed stocker it didnt reveg it just started to die of on the top buds it wasnt bud rot they just started to die off. strange i put it down to geneticslooks like your lady on the right attempted to reveg or something of the sorts. are they DWC or do you just have em in a tote seperated?
Faster growth. Quicker finishWhat advantages does a 24/0 light cycle offer compared to 18/6?
Plants do things during dark period, you should not deprive them of it.Faster growth. Quicker finish
Any cannabis plant can be vegged on 24/0 light schedule, has nothing to do with auto's "handling it". There is negligible difference between a 24/0 and 20/4 light cycle but I can guarantee that there is from even 18/6 to 12/12 for autos. Not much argument that autos can handle all the light they can get....more yeild always makes us feel better and something to brag about....
That being said, there's those of us who've grown autos for years on 12/12 so photos can grow alongside and don't miss anything but the bills that goes with it. Growing in 3 ltr pots, I expect 3/4-1 oz per ltr of medium even with conservative feeding. Lighting is 55+ sq ft. Keep enviromental parameters in spec and 12/12 will amaze ya.
Tell that to the top auto breeders from 15' to just this year before getting real competition(Mephisto) as they run 24/0.Plants do things during dark period, you should not deprive them of it.
So what your saying is you dont want to know what plants do during dark cycle and just choose to ignore it. That's cool, your call. Feel free to not let your plants have their natural processes all you want. If you have plants you can do whatever makes you happy.Tell that to the top auto breeders from 15' to just this year before getting real competition(Mephisto) as they run 24/0.
So what do plants do exactly then during the dark period that is required? So what your saying is you dont want to know what plants do during dark cycle and just choose to ignore it. It's not required so much as beneficial. There is no arguing some use a 24 hr light cycle with success. Give this a read. There are other articles but this blog is ok for a few points. So what do plants do exactly then during the dark period that is required?
Better add me to the ignore list, lol. I'm an auto flower hater kinda. Just like I'm a hemp hater in a way. It's unfortunate you had that issue, hope this thread helped you out. Sometimes things go sideways on these sites, don't take it personal. Most are here to help. The Auto haters are to be ignored. Growers should be open to all things and many grow autos. Keep at it and ignore those who are too dedicated to pushing their opinions as gospel, there are many routes to get to the watering hole.
Ruderalis has low thc levels. I don't see how that couldn't lower its potency. Autos always look more airy to me than photos in everyone's pics.Auto's and photo period plants are the same plant with the exception of the added Ruderals gene bred in to trigger budding without a light cycle change. I don't disagree. THC will be lower when crossed with the Russian garbage for it's auto flowering traits. As for hating auto's, that's your call. I stopped growing them and switched to photos but will still be growing a few of them outdoors next year. It's beneficial here in Canada with short summers. That said there is no wild pot growing for them to contaminate anywhere near by. I do agree with keeping good genetics protected, I think most want that. I think the only real way to persevere genetics is for people to protect them. It's growers that will make the difference by protecting seeds, growing true strains and producing more seeds. Growing a few auto's should not change that but I do understand your concern. Protecting original strain genetics is important.Ruderalis has low thc levels.
