I have my plant on its 12/12 light schedule but the times I had it set up for are not the best times, 3pm on and 3am off, if I wanted to change that light schedule to say maybe 8am on and 8 pm off is that possible without harming the plant ?

How long have they been on that cycle? I've switched my light cycle before but they were early in flower like first week. I would say though that if you wanted to switch them just turn them off at 8pm then start the cycle 8am to 8pm but thats just me

They’ve only been under the 12/12 schedule now for 3 days at that set time, so tomorrow when they come on at 3 pm just shut them off at 8? That 5 hours of light won’t harm the plant at all?

If its only been 3 days then you should be fine. I dont think anything really bad will happen to them cause they are still getting some light because the next day it'll start their 12/12. Whenever i switched my light cycle i cut their day by 5 hours and just started 12/12 how I wanted the next day and the plant turned out fine.

After lights off only turn them on when you want to start your schedule. In flower enlong dark, in veg enlong light...

Yeah exactly its still under 12/12 so they will still want to flower but if you had it over 12/12 to switch the cycle then you might get some stunted growth just cause the plant wont know if its flowering or vegging but thats my opinion

End your last light on period so that your next light off period coincides with your new flowering schedule... so if your flowering schedule is now from 3pm lights on to 3am lights off, run your next light on period from 3pm to 8pm and then keep the lights off until your new flowering schedule would begin, at 8am!

Ok ok that makes sense, ya the plants never gone over its 12 hours of light and always got a full 12 hours of darkness, just wasn’t quite sure on how to approach changing the schedule, I wasn’t sure if it would cause stress on the plant or not
