Ok.. Thisis not entierly clear to me and I have worked with both, 600 and 1000watt.. I want to know from personal experince which system would be better for power consumption wise and productivity! Should someone go with 8 600Watts wired 240V (canada) or 5 1000Watts wired 240? any info with Continuous amp and Igniter Amp usage is also helpfull info. thanks

well ime the 1k's will get you more light canopy penitration...so if your growing bushes i think this would be optimal...but if you plan on scrogging an want a better top light foot print i think the 600 would do the trick...also what size room...peace az

your better off with the 600's hands down, they are more efficent, have plenty of power to penetrate and with more points of light you willl get better coverage of your garden, the only draw back when doing this is set up cost, more lights is going to cost more to buy but then again with the 600's you can place then closer to the plants so more light gets to the canopy

Well, like Axgrow said, you won't get the penetration from the 600s hands down. If your canopy is deeper than 18", I'd suggest the 1000s.

I use 600's and love them but only because I have a limited power supply. I'd like to upgrade to 1000's execpt for one thing, the lamps that I use are KILLER and only go up to 600 watt. If you wanna check them out here ya go, http://www.mavericksun.com/lamps.htm. I've noticed a dramatic difference when using these lamps as oppesed to standered or other Hortilux lamps.

Hey, thanks for the imput guys.. I decided to buy the 600Watts to my collection and bought new bulbs with reflectors built into the bulbs.. I am also going to use the 1000Watts with new shades.. I upgraded the bulbs to the top of the line. Thanks again
