lighting for a 2x4 closet grow

can someone point me into the direction please?

what I've got: HLG 135w v1 QB 4 inch inline fan and a 4 inch carbon filter

it's good for a 2x2 but I'd like to integrate some good DIY led strip kit or maybe another qb or maybe I should move up to a 250w mh/HPS setup

side question can you get 10000k bulbs for an hos set up for the extra bulk for the last week of flowering or do you have to have a CMH kit?

I'm new to HPS/MH so any advice or info is greatly appreciated

my goal is to pull 6-8 ounces from this 2x5x8 closet

Get yourself about 300w of qb like light like strips,cob, qb, etc..whatever you prefer, fits your budget or else.. and you will blow 6-8oz easy in your 2x4/2x5 space

Since you already have a QB get yourself another one and youll be set, best would be 3 ran with smaller current each but up to you

Nah 3 at 300-320 would be best and 2 at 260 will be fine but not to the point to have perfect coverage all over the space..

because I currently have 4 boards in my 4x4 running at 130w each and I feel id benefit from a little more power.. so half that in a 2x4 (260w) will do but with 3 boards at 100w each you get better spread, more coverage, more efficient.. 3 boards ran at 130w would mean about 400w of QB and would be overshoot for a 2x4 space..

Yeah I missed the part about underdriving. If underdriving, 3 will definitely be better, for all the reasons stated.

He could start out buying 1, then buy another later too.

I run 240W of 3000k Vero 18 gen 7 in a 2x4 tent, and while I feel like I could use a few more W/sqft of PAR, it'd only be 2-3 more W/sqft. They used to be old veros too and still produced very nicely even before upgrading to gen 7. (basically an upgrade from ~40% to ~50%. (type C driven at 700mA).

edit: taking off yield claims. I honestly don't remember if it's accurate..

well I have a 135w v1 qb kit with the 100h-54a driver and I'm wanting to maybe just get another qb288 v1 which I think I aas the same board and run it in series and I should be good

Dude, i pull almost a pound from 1.5x3.5 with a 400w mh/hps..
Have higher expectations haha.

How much height u working w?? And how far do u Keep the light from the canopy? I have a 2x4x5 and I want to run a 315cmh but I’m worried abt heat. I had a 600w vipar and was doing good to keep it below 81f during summer months.

Only around 4ft. 18 inches.
Mine is good for heat with a 200cfm fan and filter.

I'd go with 1 qb800 which is 3 ft from Meijiu on Alibaba with the LM301B diodes. Should be around $110-120. Then I'd get 2 Bridgelux blurple 100w COB's from Panda Grow, or 2 100w Vero 29's to fill the extra foot.

Get a couple HLG 96 elites and knock out that 2x4
