Needs some help on getting a soil base going? Would it best to use a organic living soil or coco? Also wanting to add some extras anyone know anything about Earth Dust Base and Bloom. Wanting to add organic worm castings to the mix as well? Lemme know what everyone thinks.

Building your our soil is a huge rabbit hole. You could spend weeks researching and sourcing ingredients. Are you in the US? If so I'd advise getting a bag or two of "water only" potting soil from kiss organics, buildasoil or similar. Unless of course you want to go down that rabbit hole, I have and I find it fascinating and extremely rewarding.

Yes I’m in the US. So could I go with like Roots organic living soil and then add my worm castings and such just to amp it up if needed?

If you want to build your own soil google "coots mix recipe". Coots mix is a really good reference point to build a reusable "no till" mix. I followed it pretty closely for my last few grows, and I was delighted with the results. Unless you live in a certain area in the US you might struggle to source some of the ingredients but just replace them with something similar that's available locally to you and you'll be fine.

I just looked up roots soil. For your first grow it looks perfect. If I was you I'd top dress with your worm casting at the beginning of flowering period and just just use plain water the whole way. Maybe some sort of mulch to stop the top layer of soil from drying out and becoming a deadzone.

Okay great. Would adding coco help with retaining water so it won’t dry out. Just wanting the get the best living soil without much work. So the just water stuff your mentioning is going to be best I think.

No I wouldn't mess with it by adding extra coco. Every soil will benifit from a mulch, theyll all dry out at the surface if they're "naked". If I was in the US I'd buy "kis organics biochar soil" and fill two fabric pots and go water only the whole way to harvest. Get the biggest pots that will fit in your tent, probably 16 inch diameter in your case. Mulch with straw, dead leafs, wood chips or similar. That's close to fool proof for a beginner imo.
