Lighting Help ASAP!!

Hey guys so i just got these clones from a friend and i have everything set up except a light.. i need to go get one before they finish rooting.. im growing 6 plants in soil and the room is a small closet grow about 3 ft by 4 ft by 5 ft high... initially i was just going to go with a 250w hps/mh setup but then some guy at a hydro shop said that wasnt enough light and i would have to keep my plants really short or they wouldnt get enough light. he also said with the 250w i might as well just grow two to normal height instead of 6 short cuz ill come out with the same yeild since he is saying there isnt enough light. instead he suggested i get the 400w but idk if he was just trying to make more money so i need your input!!! please and thank you for the help guys!

He is telling the truth, you CAN easily pull it off with a 250watt, but a 400watt would be much better, I was planning on getting a 400watt for 5 plants.

he's right a 250 won't cut it, go with a 400 watter, it'll be the best investment you'll make.

600watts is the most efficient, but you may have heat problems in that size grow space with anything higher than 400w. 400 should work well for you.
