Hey everyone. I currently started growing in my stealth pc tower growbox, and im growing 2 small babies with 2 23 watt cfls. I know i should have more hat why i m asking here. If i put the 125 watt in, there wouldnt be much space left. I was thinking about putting a 105Watt spiral bulb in there 2700k. Can someone confirm thats a good idea? and can the 105 watt plug into a normal socket. And theres a choice between mogul and regular and im not sure which one to choose. I have 2 fans 1 intake 1 out take. And the dimensions are 18"long, 17"tall, 8" wide. Do you think the 2700k 105 watt cfl is a good choice? if not what other cfl should i get cause im sticking with cfl's for now

mogul = larger(E39 Socket), Regular = Regular socket(E26 Socket)...normal light bulbs are the "Regular" style socket, you probably don't have mogul sockets :)

If you can keep the heat down in the case then go with the 105watt...you are going to need hella extraction...you might just want to put a few passive intakes in and make both fans exhaust. Just give it a test run being on for an hourish throwing a thermometer in it...also the heat in the case will be proportional to the ambient temperature outside it. So if your fan system is able to reduce the temp to 5-10 degrees above the ambient temp, thats what it will be at....

So basically 70F room, box able to maintain +10F, it will be 80F in the box...ambient temp up to 75F, box will be 85F get it? :D

I agree (with Massah) about the two fans. You don't need power in AND out; one or the other will work fine. You want your fresh air intake to be at least as large as the exhaust fan's capacity. Otherwise you'll put unnecessary strain on the motor. If you power air in & out simultaneously, the plants will never get any of the fresh air (and with CO2 in it) benefits. The breeze going through you box will be intense.
The 2700K should be at least a Daylight spectrum, I.E. 6400K - 6500K which are standard bulbs. That 2700K would be fine if you wanted to supplement flowering... Get your bulbs from a grow dealer. K-mart, Lowe(r)'s, Home Cheapo et.al. won't have any bulbs worth a damn.

I dunno what kinda home depot your going to, but I have had no problems finding 42w 2700k cfl bulbs, which are 150w equivalent. They fit in my pc case which is just a mid size tower, not a full tower or anything.

I was planning on ordering them online. Are you guys saying the 105 watt will be to hot? if so what other wattages should i get? im running 2 23watt right now and thats not enough for sure, so im trying to get more light in there, but idunno what will be best without getting to hot.

I either want 1 big bulb in there, or 3-4 smaller ones if i get the Y addapter. Can anyone post some links or tell me which bulbs are suitable for my growbox?

Damnit i really thought about it last night, and i remembered if i had the 105 wat up top side ways, that plants wouldnt have much space to grow, but if i had 4 small bulbs all in Y adapters they can just grow in-between the addapter and the bulbs. DAMN. I really appreciate it when you guys help me. Got any ideas on what wattage bulbs to get, Im gonna have them in a Y adapter and i have 8 icnhes wide to work with, but i can curve them abit so ill have like 8-10 inches. Right now have 2 23 watts, i think i should go a bit higher then that

you could always get those adapters from home depot. (light adaptor) if you get some of those, then you can get a power strip, glue it on towards the top of the back wall and then plug the lights right into the power strip. That's how I see most people doing it
