Lighting Help

From asking a couple growers I know, to searching google, I'm getting so many different answers.. I'm starting my first grow in June. I have a closet, floor space is 3'x6' and the ceiling is slanted, starts at about 8' down to 3'. I want to use MH & HPS, what size watt for each should I get? How many plants should be good for that space? I'm thinking 4-6.

Before asking how many (dead) plants can I grow, ask how do I keep my room cool.

you could get a 600watt bulb,mh/hps conversion ballast and get a cool tube for it, but this all depends on you budget

You would need 130 CFM to just exhaust from just the bulb, and that is given a 70* at the intake@ 75* you would need 190 CFM.

not all of your space is usable for adult plants because of height limitations. if you can make the dimensions work and can divide the area i would use the lower ceiling side for vegging under cfl's (don't think you have head room for mh) leaving the space that has 6 - 8 feet for flowering. and as bonzi says, you need a ventilation solution. with this set up you could have four adult plants flowering while four juveniles are vegging, giving you the option of harvesting as often as once every other week if you want.
