Hey guys I have couple questions. So this is my first indoor grow,I have been doing outdoor grows but decided to move it indoors. Anyways, my flower room is gunna be a 6x6 square. I planned on running 2000 watt hps for 12 plants. Is it better to have 2 1000 watt bulbs or say 5 400 watt bulbs? Thanks for any help in advance☺

2 1k lights is IMO an over kill for that small of an area. Maybe better off with 2 600's. But don't use 400's the lumen output to wattage ratio isnt worth it compared to 600. Which is usually between 80,000 to 100,000 where as a 1k is a roughly 160,000

Speaking of air flow would 2 16 inch wall mounted fans and a 8 inch exhuast fan connected to a carbon filter be enough?

I am new here, but just wanted to add a +1 to Hortilux. If you are planning on expanding the area in the future, I would look into dimmable ballasts. I use Solis-Tek and have had no problems. I have used 1000w bulbs on the 600w setting, as well as 600w bulbs on the 600w setting.

Edit: If it is possible, mount your ballasts outside of the room so you don't have that heat to worry about.

Nice! They are quality ballasts, but they have 500w, 750w, 1000w setting, in percentages, if I recall correctly so I wouldn't try to run a 600 watt bulb in them, but 1000 dimmed down to 750 would work in that area possibly. Although, I have never tried that, so it is probably best to ignore this. lol
